Blogtember: Favorite Apps - Day 28

Hello All,

I can't believe its the last day of Blogtember. And its October, where did time go? Today's post is pretty simple and its what are my favorite apps are on my phone. I have Galaxy S3 so we normally behind the iphone so if our play store has it I would guess the app store will too.

Calendar
Source
My life is pretty much on my phone calendar. Like if there is an event and its not on my calendar, I probably won't be there.
Camera
source
My phone camera is my primary camera at the monet although I'm saving for a new one.  But even then I feel confident that my phone is good for everyday pictures because when I bought it Verizon told me that my phone is as good as high end camera so I'm good with it.
GMAIL
Source
I have two gmail accounts, One where all my personal stuff gets sent and then one for the club that I am an officier of. I have no clue what I would do without my Gmail app because I use it for just about everything.
Twitter
Source
I love to tweet. I tweet whatever's on my mind. Want to follow me on Twitter? You can by hitting here and then hit the follow button.
Pinterest
Source
When I have nothing else to do I like to pin so I love that this app exist so I can pin on the go.
Instagram
Source
I love instagram! If I take a picture that I think deserves to be posted I love having somewhere to post it. I even do a feature here on my plog where I post my top liked pictures of the month.
Photo Grid
Source
When I take a lot of pictures I like to put them all in one instead of flooding my instagram feed. I actually use it a lot and love that I ca do it.
Go SMS pro
Source
I have Galaxy S3 and I LOVE my phone but then only thing I didn't like was that I didn't get the iphone emojis. Then Mandi told me about this app where you can use iphone emojis on the droid so I downloaded app and that's the only way I text now.
Countdown Widget
Source
When I excited I love to know how long it is until I get to go somewhere. I learned recently that I can change the background so they all are different looking.
My Calendar
Source
I love this app so much because its tracks my period and keeps record of how long it is and when the next one starts. In my mind it has to be one of the best apps ever created.
Drive
Drive
Google drive is where I keep track of all my ideas for my blog so I like that I can have an app for so when I get an idea I can open that app and added no matter where I am.
Candy Crush Saga
Source
I finally understand the addiction and love playing it. When I get stuck on a level I get really determined to get it right.

Those are my favorite apps on my phone. What are your favorite apps? Let me know in the comments below.

Blogtember - Letter to the Past Me - Day 26

Hello All,

Today's Blogtember topic is one that I believe I came up with on my own which to write a letter to yourself in the past. I was inspired by the song by Brad Paisley, Letter to Me.

Dear Younger Me,

I'm 19 years old know and I don't think much more than you probably know now but there are some things that I wish I knew when I was younger.

1. When we were in high school you always wanted more friends and to be popular. But I want you to know that you might not popular now but when you come to college you become more outgoing and now we have friends in all different places. And always remember that some friends are only suppose to make an appearance in your life.

2. Always follow your gut because 9 out of 10 times it has been right.

3. Always be who you are because there are tons of people out there who will accept you for who you are and not who you want them to be.

4. Live and let be instead of always trying to have a plan. And remember that quote, want to hear God laugh tell him your plan.

That's all the advice I can think that I would tell the past me.

***

So, that was a short list but that's some things I wish I knew when I was younger. What is advice you would tell your past self? Let me know in the comments below.

Hello All,

Today's post is another one that I'm really excited about (I'm excited about a lot of them) but this one is because its about the blogs I read and I love reading blogs! For this post I'm going to focus on mainly college bloggers because it goes along with something else that hopefully will start being feature on my blog!

*These Bloggers are in no particular order at all***

Paige at  The Sticky Note Addict
On Paiges' blog you can hear about her adventures with her dog Gatsby and boyfriend Bradley. Also her blogging birthday just past so Happy Birthday Sticky Note Addict!

Miss ALK at Southern Belle in Training
Miss ALK writes about her life at her southern college, which she moved to from the North East and her love for fashion! I do love her sense of fashion.

Samantha at Life but a stream of thoughts
I love reading Samantha's blog because I'm living vicariously through her life as sorority girl. Plus it was a lot of fun to read her adventures while studying aboard Italy this past summer.

Lizzy at Lizzy's Luggage
I abosolutely love Lizzy! She is an absolute sweet heart and seems so confident with who she is. I also love that she's a vlogger because I'm trying to get into the vlogging world.

Natalie at Finding My Voice
I actually know Natalie personal so its pretty cool to have a friend who I found out I was blogger after we met. I also love Natalie's blog because it is unlike anyone else's on this list.

Who are some of your favorite bloggers? Let me know in the comments below, I'm always trying to find new blogs to read.

Blogtember: Stream of Conscious - Day 24

Hello All,

Today's topic is a Stream of Conscious. Shall we get started.

I really like this subject post. It gives readers an idea of how I think. Maybe someone don't want to know how I think I'm mean sometimes its scary how my mind works. You know when say something out of the blue and your like trust me it makes sense if you were in my mind. I got a meatball sub for lunch today but it taste really bad. I'm disappointed because I've really wanted a meatball sub today. I've been craving Italian food for the last two days but the dinning hall had tacos last night and my meatball sub tasted bad. I would go to the store and get stuff to make pasta for dinner but I have to work so I'll be eating a burger probably because that's what we make at work. Maybe I'll try the grilled cheese. I've never had it work but the way we make it looks good. Maybe I'll add a little bit of bacon to it. I don't really understand the obsession with bacon. Like yes its good but its not the best food ever. But I get that's subject to opinion because I think cupcakes are the best food ever but some people would probably be like no! Tacos are the best. I mean I do like tacos but it don't think its the best food ever. I went to high school with a kid who obsessed with the word taco. Why I don't know but it was kind of annoying. My mom says I use the word annoying to much but its always just the first word that comes to my mind. Its a reflex like when some people use "like" or "ummm" every other word. I do it sometimes but its normally when I'm trying to tell a story but I get distracted by other things going on. That happened to me last night when Mandi came over and I felt bad that we were talking but I would keep getting distracted. There are some days that I can focus really well but yesterday was not one of them. Then again I don't think this will be posted for a few days so technically Mandi wasn't over yesterday it was few days ago. Because when I think when this posted its going to be more like 3 days ago and yesterday night will probably be me being at work. I really like my job now. It took me a while to get the hang of it but I like it now. But I had a stress dream about it last night where I was learning something new but I just couldn't do it, everything was going wrong. I just had one of those moments where everything was going wrong. I just spent like 10 minutes walking around the student center trying to find a table near a plug so that I could eat my nasty meatball sub and plug in my computer. Then I dropped my juice and made a BIG mess and had to keep running to the bathroom so that I could get paper towels so that I could clean it up. I cleaned it up and then finally found somewhere to plug in my computer and ate my gross sandwich and didn't have anything to drink which is suckish because I have a sore throat. Hopefully I'm not getting sick because I'm so busy and I don't have time to get. I don't think anyone really has time to get sick. Okay well this is for my stream of conscious because I have to get another post done before i go to class in like 20 minutes!  Have a good day!

Blogtember: Your Favorite Quote - Day 23

Hello All,

Today's topic is what is your favorite quote. I'm going to talk about 2 quotes, both of which I want to get tattoo on me at some point.

The first one is the first tattoo I want to get after I land my dream job.

Source
I love this quote so much. When I'm having a bad day and don't feel like I can do what I want anymore I think about it and pushes me through. It also inspired the big decision that I am trying to make this year! (You can read about it here)

Even on the little things. Every year there is an orientation for incoming freshmen and they have leaders who are current students and this year I want to apply to do it. Since I'm dreaming of it I'm going do everything I possibly can to get it and I repeat that mantra to myself on days that I don't want to do stuff.

My other favorite quote is also Walt Disney.

Source
I love this quote because its a reminder that something so expansive as Disney started with something so simple as a mouse driving a boat. I hope that is something that I can start with something so simple and make it a huge impact on someone's life.

What are some of your favorite quotes? Let me know in the comments below.

Blogtember: Why I Started Blogging - Day 22

Hello All,

Today's topic asked me why I started blogging. I think this is one of the most asked questions I get when I tell people I blog. Right along with what do you blog about. And just a general, why?

Blogging is something I have always been interested in but I didn't know how to go about setting up a blog. I didn't know what sites to use and how to design or what to write about in general.

But then last April I was super busy with programs in my Future Teacher's club and I had one of those, "Now I have something to blog about moments!"

Source
When I original started blogging I thought I was only going to blog about events like moving out or club events. But soon I realized that I have opinions and I am passionate about things and I wanted to share that with the world, or at least the blogging world.

Soon, I started to discover other blogs and learning what they wrote about and learned how important creating a fun set up was and writing an About Me Page. I'll be honest with you I have spent hours research on how to create a successful blogger.

Now blog is a part of me. I use to keep it a secret but now when some asked me a fun fact about me I say very proudly, "I am a blogger." Which is followed almost instantly by, "Oh you mean one Tumblr." And then I say no I have an actual website.

I think if someone told me that I had to stop blogging I would be lost. I would miss writing to whoever so much and I would miss my creative outlet.

That's why I started blogging. If you're a blogger why did you start blogging? Let me know in the comments below.

Blogtember: What Do You Believe In? - Day 21

Hello All,

Today's blogtember topic is What do you believe in?

I was really excited about this topic because there is one thing that I believe in that has an amazing story.

During the summer of 2012 I got a phone call from my aunt and uncle who had been trying to adopt for about 2-3 years I believe. Well that night I got a call that they had been chosen by a birth parent. They said that the baby was going to be born on August 15, 2012.

On July 1, 2012 my cousin who had a defibrillator, was rushed to the hospital because she had been socked too many times. A little while later we found that she would eventually need a heart transplant. With all luck she would have a transplant by that Labor Day.

She was put on the transplant list on August 1, 2012 and we spent days praying for a heart and healthy baby for my Aunt and uncle.

On August 8, 2012 I got a text message from my aunt that the baby was born! His name is Joshua and he's absolutely adorable. Luckily he was healthy and the adoption went through without a hitch.

On August 15, 2012 (remember that date?) I got a phone call from Mama J that my cousin was getting her transplant!

Because of those two events I full heartily believe in miracle. Both those events are miracle.s and I am ever so grateful for both of my cousins being in my life.

What do you believe in? Let me know in the comments below.

The Big Brother 15 Players Break Down

Hello All,

I can't believe that Big Brother 15 is over! Although this has been one of the most debatable seasons in Big Brother history and I would not like to see many of those players again, I am sad to see my summer obsession end.

I want to start this post off by taking a look back at who I thought was going to go far in this season. You can check out my first predictions here.  Let's beginning.

Elissa
Source
The only player to win BBMVP and America's Choice remained calm in the house and didn't let her emotions overcome her. In the end I still liked her.

Aaryn
Source
Although I didn't like what she had to say and the racial things she said. I did like her game play and their were times that I forgot what she said and did like here. I do hope that she learned her lesson and will leave the house as a bigger person.

Andy
Source
The winner of Big Brother was not a player that I ended up liking at the end. I didn't  like the way he played the game. I think he ended up looking like a rat and would definitely qualify as floater.

Judd

My favorite player of the season. I hope to see him on a future season of Big Brother! He also was my sleeper pick (the player you think as the potential to win but you wouldn't see it until big players are out) to win.

McCrae.
Source
I really thought that he could win but instead he fill into the trap of a showmance and ended up getting himself evicted instead of really playing.

Candice
Source
I orignally loved her personality but then realized that she was a little too intense for me.

Those are my final thoughts on the player that I thought I'd like from the first interviews.

The next thing I want to share will you is my point system for the best players of the season. I want to throw out some disclaimers 1. The players rank has nothing to do with my personal feelings for them. 2. That each player was given points (you'll see the point system below) and 3. I don't necessarily agree with the action of these houseguests. 4. The number one player may or may not be who I wanted to win.

The Points Systems:
1 pt for each week in the house (3 weeks 3 points)
3 pts for winning HOH
5 pts for winning POV
3 pts for surviving eviction when they were on the block
7 pts for being my player of the week
5 pts for being the American Favorite player
3 pts for being the runner up for AFP
3 pts for making it to jury
10 pts for winning the game
5 pts for being the runner up

They're a few ties and I will give a slight explanation of where they go the most points.

12th Place
Source
David earned 2 points for being in the house a grand total of 2 weeks.
11th Place
Source
Jeremy earned 9 points, he earned most of his points for winning 1 POV.
10th Place (Two Way Tie)
Source
Nick earned 10 points gaining most of his points from winning my favorite player!
Source
Kaitlin also earned 10 points gainning the majority of her points from winning a POV and staying in the house 5 weeks.
9th Place
Source
Helen earned 15 points and earned most of her points from remaining in the house for 9 weeks.
8th Place
Source
Howard earned 16 points and earned the majority of his points by being one of my players of the week.
7th Place
Source
Jessie earned 17 and most of her points came from staying in the house 8 weeks.
6th Place
Source
Candice earned 20 points and most of her points came from being my player of the week.
5th Place (3 way tie)
Source
Amanda earned 29 points with most of her points coming from being in the house 11 weeks.
Source
Judd earned 29 points with most of his points coming from winning 2 POVs.
Source
McCrae also earned 29 points with most of his points coming from staying in the house 13 weeks.
4th Place
Source
Andy earned 36 points and earned most of his points from staying in the house for 14 weeks.
3rd Place
Source
Aaryn earned 43 points and earned most of her points from her 4 HOH wins!
Source
Gina Marie also earned 43 points and earned the majority of her points from staying in the house 14 weeks.
2nd Place
Source
Elissa earned 49 points and earned most of her points for being my player of the week for 2 of the weeks this summer.
1st Place
***I Don't agree with this person being the best player this season but the way the points fell they earned the most.***
Source
Spencer earned a grand total of 53 points and the majority of his points came form surviving eviction 7 times!

And that is the break down of the house guest this season. For the most part I agree with where they fall in the break down with the exception of a few.

Blogtember: Something Old and Important - Day 20

Hello All,

Today's topic is to take a picture of something old and explain why its important. Here's my favorite thing and something old...

This bear I have since I was born and he comes with a cute story has well.

When Mama J found out that she was pregnant she went out to the story and bought this teddy bear. Then she gave to my father with a note asking him to take care of the bear until the baby who he really belonged to was born.

This bear is my favorite thing my childhood. When I'm sad I still cuddle with it and I brought him to college with me. If you look closely you'll notice that the eye on the left is missing. Also if you were to pick it up you would see that one of the ear is rubbed raw because when I'm upset I rub the ear between my fingers.

So, that is my something old. What is something old and important to you? Let me know in the comments below.

The End of Big Brother!

Hello All,

I'm sorry that I have been so bad about doing Big Brother recaps the last few weeks. Between school starting and Blogtember my Big Brother Recaps have gone to the way side. But I have this post and another post planned for the end of the Big Brother season and hopefully next season I will be better about it.

Okay since I have about 2 weeks to blog about I'm going to a brief paragraph about each of the next 3 evictions and the winner.

When we last left off Elissa had been evicted because of the double eviction. The next HOH was won by Andy who put up McCrae and Spencer. When McCrae won POV it was clear that Andy would have to put up another exterminator and he chose Judd. And sadly (in my opinion) McCrae and Gina Marie decide to evict Judd.

Source
The next week Spencer pulled out his second win of the season and for the first time could really feel safe in the Big Brother house. Spencer put Andy and McCrae. After Gina Marie won the POV, she was the soul vote to evicted and after taking a note from a Big Brother great Mike Boogie she told McCrae to get to stepin making the exterminator the final 3!

Source
The first final HOH competition of the final three was an endurance competition where they had to hold on to their HOH key while the were pulled around on roller skates. The winner of this competition was Gina Marie.

Source
The second round was an endurance and memory competition where Spencer and Andy had to put the HOHs in order and take them up the wall. The winner of this round was Andy!

Source
The final round was played by GM and Andy where they had to predict which answer the jury members would give to each questions. It was a nail bitter but in the end Andy was the final HOH winner!

Source
Andy then had to decide who he wanted to bring to the final two and kept his word from night two (who does that in Big Brother?). And decide to bring GM to the final two making Spencer the last member of jury.

Source
The jury got to ask the final two questions and unfortunately Gina Marie couldn't hold his own. But in the end 7-2 Andy became the winner of BB15! And the first openly gay player to win Big Brother!

Source
Although in my opinion the final three didn't completely deserve to be there but I do believe that because of the way the cookie crumbled the first, second and third place was correctly placed. I am also proud of the jury for not holding a grudge.

Tomorrow I will post my wrap up for the season and then Big Brother will go to be until next season when I return to do recaps of Big Brother 16!
