3 Fictional Characters

Hello All,

Have you guys seen the newest social media trend where people are supposed to chose 3 fictional characters that they feel like are most like them or they relate to the most? Well it inspired me to write a blog post so here I am writing a blog post for all you lovely people out there in internet land.

First I'll start by being honest, when I first saw this trend I had a really hard time picking out which characters I related to the most. I couldn't think of any characters that held all the aspects of me and my identity. After I thought more about it and remembered that I could chose 3 very different characters that each showed the different aspects of who I am/who I hope to be.

Recently I've been re-watching the Canadian hit show, Degrassi. The first time I watched Degrassi I probably would have felt that I connected most with Clare or even Imogen and don't get me wrong I still see myself in those characters but the character on that show I connect with the most is Holly J Sinclair who is played by the amazing Charlotte Arnold.
For those of you who have never seen the show Holly J starts out a very intense character (*cough Bitch *cough cough***) who is  use to getting her own way.  Which I don't connect with necessarily (Some may beg to differ 😉). But as the series went on she grew into a softer and more lovable character. I connect with her because much like her I live an insanely crazy schedule where many times I feel like I'm running around like a chicken with my head cut off, hence the lack of post. But that's not the only reason, much like Holly J I have a very type A personality where I like to do my best and get my work done. My favorite part about Holly J is that  she is just as powerful when she has a man in her life as when doesn't. And I like to believe that I have the same power in my life, well if I ever found a boy worth spending my time on, lol.

Fun fact at one of my pervious jobs they use to call me Emma J and I low key always felt like Holly J.

Now I'm not always so tightly wound so next I wanted to think of someone goofier. I started thinking of some of my favorite sitcoms and I came up with New Girl. Originally I thought about saying  I was most like Jessica Day, I can be quirky. But then I was like nah that doesn't sound right. Then it hit me, I am most like Winston who is played by Lamorne Morris.
Source
Much like Winston I can be pretty socially awkward, especially when it comes to dating. I don't know how to properly approach dating and finding someone who thinks I'm as adorable as I think I am. Winston also has a weird connection with his cat which if we're being honest will be me one day when I have my puppy dog. Unlike Winston I'm not as dependent on other people as Winston is on his roommates. But I do agree with him Saturday is the day of sleeping. I can't come up with more reason know but if we're being honest when I watch New Girl on Netflix I often think to my "Wow that's me" with half the stunts Winston pulls.

The final character I felt a connection with was a no brainer even though she wasn't the first person I thought of. That would be the one and only Brooke Davis played by the amazing Sophia Bush.
Source
Brooke Davis a gorgeous girl who still went through her ups and downs but handled it with grace, something I strive to do. I connect with Brooke because she is a hard worker and built a whole empire because its what she wanted. I've never built an empire but I have the drive to follow my dreams. As the seasons go on we see what a great friend Brooke is, yes she didn't want to be Peyton's friend but she felt betrayed so I don't blame her. For the most part, she was always there for the people she loved and at the end of the day she did help Peyton kick psycho Derrick's ass so there's that. In the end the reason I feel so connected to her because she has such a big a heart and so do I (at least in my opinion).

So those are the 3 fictional characters I feel most connected with. What 3 fictional characters do you connect with the most? Let me know in the comments below.

BIG BROTHER 18 PLAYER OF THE WEEK {Week 5}

Hello All,

Happy Monday! This week is pretty exciting for me! And I can't wait to share why (Although you can get sneak peaks on Istagram, twitter snapchat by following @judy_judy94). But for right now a post about Big Brother will have to suffice.

*This post contains spoilers from any episode of Big Brother 18 up to and including the episode that aired on Thursday, July 28, 2016***

This week was kind of boring in the house. From the nomination, to the POV competition, to vote of eviction, the house might as well have sang and danced We're All in this Together from high school musical.

After a LONG HOH competition the final 3 standing were James, Bridgette and Da'Vonne. James made a deal with the other two that he wouldn't put them up if they let him win. But it didn't take long for the house to convinced James to break his deal and put up Frank and Bridgette. During the POV competition Michelle pulled out her first win. Frank attempted to persuade Michelle to use the POV on him, but the house wasn't having it, they would interrupt Frank every time he tried to get close to her. In the end Michelle kept the nomination the same.

Source
The day before eviction the house guest were given clues to a secret room that would hold a secret power. The power stated that they could select one of twelve envelopes. While most of the envelopes held a one way ticket, one of the envelopes holds a round trip ticket that allows the player to re-enter the house right after their eviction. As long as they don't open there envelope until they are sitting out on the stage with Julie the ticket remains valid. Paul was the first player to find the room and he tried to play it smart by keeping it a secret, even if he was horrible liar.

On eviction night Frank was evicted by unanimous vote.  When he was out being interviewed by Julie Chen he learned that he had not selected the round way ticket and his game was officially over. This also makes Frank the first vet this season to evicted.

This week I had a hard time choosing a player of the week. I hate when the house all bans together to get one person out because nobody really shows what makes them special or show that they are fighters. But I decided since he was the first to discover the room to make Paul my player of the week.

Big Brother 18 Player of the Week: Week 4

Hello All,

Welcome to this week's player of the week. This will be a fast post but I'm writing it less then 12 hours before it's supposed to go live. So, let's get started!

*Everything beyond this point contains spoilers from any episode that aired before Thursday, July 21, 2016***

Although the house guest didn't know it yet this week's evictee was the last one to that would be eligible to participate in the batt back. The week started with Paulie once again winning the HOH competition. Much like the past few weeks his primary target was Tiffany so he put Tiffany and Natalie up on the block. When Tiffany won the Road Block competition she decided to shake up the other side of the house by nominating Paulie's house best friend, Corey. While doing so Tiffany gave up all the information she had against the people who who did her wrong. Tiffany faced a lot of obstacles in her game, such as over coming her sister's legacy and having the whole house targeting her. And although she may have been evicted, the amount that she fought in order to stay in the house. For those reason Tiffany was my player of the week.

My Thoughts on Fuller House

Hello All,

Like the rest of America I spent the weekend of February 26, binge watching Fuller House. For those of you want to feel nostalgic all over again check out the trailer below.
The first episode started with the original opening to Full House, so ironically the first person we see is Michelle, although Mary-Kate and Ashley never did reprise their role. We then go on to find out that DJ (Candance Cameron Bure) is a recently widowed mom of three boys, Jackson (Michael Campion), Max (Elias Harger) and Tommy (Dashiell & Fox Messitt). Kimmy (Andrea Barber) is a separated from her husband and mom to a girl, Romona (Soni Bringas). Stephanie (Jodie Stweetin) is a touring DJ whose stage name is DJ Tanner. Danny (Bob Saget) and Becky (Lori Loughlin) are about to start filming a new nation-wide television show, Wake Up USA. Jesse (John Stamos) is about to become the music director on a soap opera and Joey (Dave Coulier) is a comedian in Vegas. And some how DJ's doofy high school boyfriend, Steve (Scott Weinger) is a doctor who still pines after DJ (because obvi, their an OTP).
LtoR: Steve (Scott Weinger) & DJ (Candance Cameron Bure)

I had been excited to see Fuller House since the revival was announced. I kept up on all the new information and read every article that stated why the Olsen twins weren't going to be reprising their roles. About 48 hours before Netflix released Fuller House I read a pretty bad review on the show and it made me worried that Fuller House wasn't going to live up to my expectation. But here's the thing Fuller House actually exceed my expectations.
LtoR: Stephanie (Jodie Sweetin), DJ (Bure), Kimmy (Andrea Barber), Danny (Saget), Becky (Lori Loughlin), Jesse (John Stamos) and Joey (Dave Coulier)

I thought that Fuller House would be filled with the cheese factor. And don't get me wrong it was very much filled with the cheese factor but let's be honest so was the original Full House. One thing that I feel like the writers did really was keep up with the times and their demographic. Although we all love Full House from its prime, a show that wholesome probably wouldn't last long today. Instead Fuller House made jokes about tequilla shots, pot brownies and hooking up. Jokes that Danny, Joey and Jesse probably never would have been able to make.
LtoR: Jesse (Stamos) & Stephanie (Sweetin)

Fuller House threw some shade towards the Olsen twins. All in a fun loving way. I feel like many of the die hard fans were worried that Michelle would be forgotten but she was mentioned every few episodes. And hopefully the Olsen twins didn't feel too insulted and will eventually come back in future seasons (if they get renew, which I feel like they will).
Throwing some shade LtoR: DJ (Bure), Stephanie (Sweetin), Danny (Saget), Joey (Coulier), Becky (Loughlin) & Jesse (Stamos)

There were a few things I found annoying. Out of the 13 episode in season one there were only about 3 or 4 where Jesse, Joey, Becky or Danny didn't make an appearance. Which don't get me wrong I do love these characters but it also felt like the writers were worried that the new characters wouldn't be able to keep up or prove their worth. I feel like the writers of Fuller House should have taken a hint from the writers of Boy Meets World and let the new characters shine and bring back the originals for special occasions.
LtoR: Kimmy (Barber), DJ (Bure), Stephanie (Sweetin)

My other slight annoyance was bring back the catch phrases. It seems that Stephanie Tanner who would now be in early thirties never did out grow her signature catch phrase "How rude" and Uncle Jesse couldn't make an appearance without saying "Have mercy".
LtoR: DJ (Bure), Kimmy (Barber) & Stephanie (Sweetin)
Source
The primary thing that Fuller House took from the original is how much heart the show brought There were always lots of hugs and I love yous. But it also focused on friendships, especially of the older ladies who affectional call themselves the She-Wolf pack. But the cuter friendship was between DJ's oldest son, Jackson and Kimmy's daughter Romona. Although it was obvious right off the bat that the writers wrote them so that if the show gets renewed a few more times they can through those two in a romantic relationship. But for now they are sweet innocent friendship.
LtoR: Max (Elias Harger), Jackson (Michael Campion) & Romona (Soni Bringas)

Overall I LOVED Fuller House and I am anxiously awaiting the second season because I fell back in love with the returning characters and fell head over heels in love with the newer ones. If you watched Full House during your childhood or the reruns on Nick at Night and you haven't watched Fuller House then my only question is why?
LtoR: Kimmy (Barber), Stephanie (Sweetin) & Tommy (Dashiell & Fox Messitt)

Have you watched Fuller House? What did you think? Let me know in the comments below.

What I'm Watching...{Fall 2014}

***Everything said in this post is 100% my opinion and I encourage you to make your own opinions of these shows***

Hello All,

One of my favorite things about this time of year, other then all the cliche things that make it my favorite time of year, is that new TV starts. I'm a TV nerd and I love getting engrossed with as many shows as I can. Like when I binge watch on Netflix I don't have one show I normally have 3 to 4 to bring in some variety. I figured that because everyone seems to be doing a post like that I would jump on this bandwagon as well, please don't judge how much TV I watch though because I ALWAYS have it on in the background. LOL

Returning Fall Shows
I'm going to start by sharing the shows that impressed me enough last year for me to return to their stories again this year.

-New Girl
Source
Who doesn't love Jessica Day and her four lovable roommates. I know I do! This season opens with Jess trying to move on after her relationship with Nick. Although I don't watch this show every week I do enjoy the stories and find that in some situation Jess is my spirit animal. You can watch Jess and the gang Tuesdays at 9/8c on Fox.

- Awkward
Source
After Jenna inspired me to blog how could I not follow her back for senior year? This year opens after the dramatic senior year ski trip and brings out the final semester for the Palos Hills High School Seniors that I have grown to love. Plus who doesn't want to  Matty McKibben every week? You can catch Awkward Tuesdays at 10/9c on MTV.

-Faking It
Source
Hester HIgh is the high school everyone wished they went to because everyone is accepted and love but Karma just doesn't see that. So, excited to see this back and see what happens next for these characters. Faking it airs Tuesday at 10:30/11:30c on MTV.

-The Middle
Source
I have loved the Hecks from the moment I met them and can't wait to see what can go wrong for them this year. Plus I might have a small crush on Axel. You can catch the Hecks Wednesday at 8/7c on ABC.

-Modern Family
Source
This family is the family that we all probably wish we were from and I love that! This much like New Girl isn't a show I watch every week but when I do I totally enjoy it and can't wait to see what messes they get into. You can catch this family Wednesday 9/8c on ABC.

-Grey's Anatomy
Source
Meredith is back with a whole new group of patients, problems and new sister. This stories may have begun to repeat themselves a little but I love to see these character grow and I will continue to return year after to year just for the characters like I will this year. You can check out these doctors on Thursdays 8/7c on ABC.

-Degrassi
Source
I always said when this group of seniors, the ones who were "new" when I started watching Degrassi graduated I would move on and stop watching. Well this is their senior year and I am preparing for my last semester/year at the Canadian high school that I feel in love with. Plus I need to know who Claire's Baby Daddy is (#TeamDrew).

New Shows:
This year seems to be bring some new interesting characters to our TV screens and I can't wait to meet some and others I could live without. In this section I'm going to tell you about all the pilots I watched and whether I will be continuing through the season.

-Gotham
This seems like a great concept for a TV show. It shows the back story of all these different super heros plus it has Ben McKenzie A.K.A. Ryan Atwood from the OC so I was up to give a shot. Although about 10-15 minutes I realize I know nothing about Super Heroes and figured that I would be lost trying to watch this show. Those who do have knowledge of super heroes though should watch it because the act was great. It airs Mondays on Fox at 8/7c.

-Jane the Virgin
Jane the Virgin is about a young women, around 23 years old, who is a virgin. One day she goes to her lady doctor for a regular check up who is going through a really hard time in her personal life and accidentally insemented her with sperm and she becomes pregnant. Now the show is going to follow her pregnancy and making everything work. This show has a lot of characters so I'm a little worried that it will hard to keep up with a lot of this. I probably will return and watch this show for at least the next few episodes but I'm not sure it will be one I'll stick with for good. If you want to check out the show you can watch Mondays at 9/8c on the CW.

-Selfie
The concept behind this show seemed stupid but on Hulu it had a advance preview of the pilot over the summer and I thought what the Hell let me check it out and let me tell you, I LOVED it. I realized soon off the bat that it was a play on My Fair Lady but with social media image being the issue rather then the way she talked but it was funny, sweet and mindless. Do I think it will get a season 2? After one episode, probably not but I am going to watch season 1 and see what the writer's can do about it. If you want to check Selfie out you can on ABC on Tuesdays at 8/7c.

-Manhattan Love Story
This show I was a little worried about. I feel like sometimes it can be hard to watch a show that uses the off screen voices multiple time throughout the episode instead of at the end and the beginning. The main part thing that drew me in was the fact that Jake McDorman who is cute and Evan Chambers from Greek who I may have totally loved. I was happily surprised by how much I like this show. Its starts when the main characters Dana (Analeigh Tipton) and Peter (McDorman) meets and you can't hear what they are thinking throughout the experience. You can watch this love story untold on ABC, Tuesday at 8:30/7:30c.

-Red Band Society
Before getting the advanced screen on Hulu (*I am in no way being sponsered by Hulu, I just happened to be playing around on it a few weeks ago to see these advance screenings***) I saw this advance screening for a show that I hadn't heard of but it looked interesting, so I hit played and with in minutes was in love with it. This story is told from the point of view of Charlie (Griffin Gluck) who is coma but knows everything that is going on in the hospital. But what makes this show not just another ER rip off is that its all about the Kids in peds section of the hospital. Plus you know its going to be good because it has Octavia Spencer in it. If you ask me this show has a long bright future ahead of it. You can check them out Wednesday on Fox at 9/8c.

-How to Get Away with Murder
This show drew me in instantly. I just couldn't figure out how a whole show could revolve around a 1 law class. Was going to be told in flashbacks or was it going ot be told in the presence. It intrigue me so of course I watched the pilot and it sucked me in faster then any other show that has premiered this season. You can catch this awesome new show on Thursdays at 10/9c on ABC.

-AtoZ
Another show that had an advance screening on Hulu, A to Z falls the whole relationship of two people, from the minute they first see each other until the day that the "dating" part ends. Anyone who believes in fate and that everything happens for a reason or that somewhere out their is the one person you are meant to be with has to watch this show. You can check this cute couple out on Thursdays on NBC at 9:30/8:30c.

Big Brother Weekly Recap {Week 6}

Hello All,

This week's Big Brother is part of the reason I fell in love with Big Brother in the first place. Let's getting talking...

This week's HOH was a true or false game. It went to six way tie breaker leaving Donny and Nicole as HOHs.
Source
The Battle of the Block was played by Jocasta and Zach along with Caleb and Victoria. They had to built a Dominio line and pick 3 punishments that would cause the line to hit the buzzer. Which ever 3 punishments they chose the winning team had to complete. The race was neck and neck through most of the race Caleb and Victoria pulled out the win. And they were stuck with the punshiments of being tied together for 48 hours, 2 weeks on slop and one of them needed to get there heads shaved.
Source
The POV was played by Christine, Nicole, Zach, Victoria, Caleb, and Jocasta. In this competition they had to zip line pass window that show comic book version of all the house guests. They  had to then put the comics in order on the other side. Which ever house guest did the fastest would then win. Victoria maxed out her time and got disqualified and Christine and Nicole were neck in neck but Christine was the ultimate winner.
Christine after winning the competition
Source
Donny and Nicole both knew that they didn't want to put Hayden up and each had their own person they didn't want to go up. They each had their own alliances to take care of. But they both agreed if given the chance they would backdoor Frankie.

Donny nominated Caleb and Victoria and Nicole nominated Zach and Jocasta. After the BOB Zach and Jocasta remained on the block and it looked like the plan to back door could be done. Especially after Christine won POV. But for the first time all summer the POV wasn't used leaving Zach and Jocasta on the block.

Nicole and Hayden reached out to Cody and Derrick to start a new alliance. Derrick and Cody thought about it but ulitmately the alliance fell through after who they decided to evict.

For the first time this summer the detonators weren't in power and one of there own were up on the block. Frankie, Christine, Derrick, and Cody spend a good amount of the post POV ceremony thinking they were going to keep Jocasta and get rid of Zach.

After Christine didn't go along with Nicole's plan to backdoor Frankie the alliance between Nicole, Christine and Hayden was completely ruined.

Hayden and Nicole remained adorable and dorky throughout the week.
Source
Zach and Frankie's bromance hit the rock when Zach was put up on the block and goodness know what that means for their relationship.
Source
We haven't really seen the drama that will probably unfold next week after Thursday's night live show.

The house went back and forth about who would go home they didn't all agree. By a vote of 6-2 the house sent there first member jury who was...

Before I announce my player of the week I need to talk about the double eviction! The HOH competition they were given different stats and they needed to say whether the number was too high, too low or equal to the number. This game was won by Caleb! He nominated Hayden and Donny.

The Power of Veto was played and they had to jump over hurdles and into a ball pit. In the ball pit they would find 3 rubber duckies run over the hurrdle and then grab a power of veto medal. The first player to compete that task would win. Donny won and took himself off the block. Caleb replaced Donny with Nicole.
The showmance was ended with a very divided house they sent the second member of the jury who was...

This week was a hard week for me to decide who would be my player of the week. I could see a couple of players getting that honor but all of the had big reason not to be my player of the week. I ultimately decided on the player who is running the house but also managed to get one of the last floater out of the house. Because of this Derrick is my player of the week.
