GETTING READY TO SET SAIL: Dream OOTD {Week 12}

Hello All,

Happy Thursday! My cruise is only like 1 month away! As hard as I'm trying I think that I am on the verge of going on vacation mode and the last 2 weeks of the semester are going to be a struggle and going to drag! But I'm going to try and crank through it.

As weird as it may sound writing my weekly post about my cruise helps me get through the long weeks until cruise without going into full out vacation mode. So, shall we safe my sanity and get started?
So, I'm not a fashion blogger by any means. But I adore the clothing ideas that I find on Pinterest. So, when I was thinking up ideas for posts for this series (oh, yes I had a long list) I knew outfits were a must!
Then I had another question of whether to make one big post or two smaller divided post. So, hint hint foreshadow I decided to do two! So, this week is will be my dream wardobe for day time and next week will be my dream evening attire wardobe. Sound like a plan stans?
All of these outfits were found on pinterest and feel free to follow me here.

TGBTL: Top 5 Pins Lately

Hello All,

Today I am once again linking up with the awesome Hayley for her weekly Link-Up the Girl Between the Lines. Each week they give us a topic so that you can get to know the people behind the blogs that you read.

Girl Between the Lines Link up

This week's topic is what are your top 5 favorite pins you've pinned recently.

I love this topic because I have recently rediscovered my love for Pinterest! I blame all the snow because I have nothing else to do on all these snow days!

Over the past probably 2 weekish I have been pinning a lot of pins in two categories, fashion and future stuff, because of that I want to show you 5 from each of those categories, mainly because I can't decide. Also the five are in no particular order

If I Could Bring My Pins to Life...Wedding

Hello All,

You know those days when you lie in bed trying to fall asleep and you think about your future? No? That's just me. Okay.

Anyways the other night I was lying in bed trying to fall asleep and started thinking abou the wedding that I would one day have to the man I have not yet/discovered he's the one. I thought about all the pins i had pinned and how they would one day come to life and decided why not share that with all of you lovely people who may just be reading this one day when these pins really do come to life. Man, I really hope I'm still blogging then.

Most of these come of my "One Day When I Get Married" board on pinterest check it out here but some are just things I have thought of and wanted to share.

I think is an absolutely adorable way to ask a bridesmaid to be bridesmaid. Be on the look at future bridesmaids for a box like this.

Source
I think this is such a cute way to remember the vows you say at your wedding.

Source
I went on to write the whole post about this and the girl had her fiancé write her a note on the bottom of her shoe before she put it on and was not allowed to read until after the ceremony. Although I don't think most men would do this I still think it be beyond cute. So this one that I don't think will ever happen but I wanted to share it.

This is a must. Instead of traditional table numbers it is different years of life and its pictures of the couple (separately) during that year. So if the table was 1995 it would be a picture of 1 year old me. And then the table for the bride and groom would be the year they met with their first picture together. So, if I met him tomorrow (I know fat chance) it would say 2014.

My next section is filled with wedding photography that hopefully my photographer will be will to take for me.

Bride, groom and groom's mother. I think this one is so cute, especially if they make that face of little kid.

I want a bunch of first looks. The bridesmaid first look, Mama J's first look, Father's first look and the man of my dream's first look at me in my dress. My favorite is the girl in the middle whose Jaw just dropped.

I also would love one of these songs to be our first dance. I know that they will probably change when I meet the guy or see how our relationship grows but these are just my favorites right now.

So, are how my pins would come to life for a wedding. Do you have wedding pins? What is your favorite thing to pin? Let me know in the comments below.

P.S. Would be a post about love without my celebrity love Dylan O'Brien.

Thanksgiving Acorn Cupcakes

Hello All,

Today I'm going to share a cupcake design that I made spur of the moment and ended up being a Thanksgiving dessert! I got isnpiration from a blog that I found through Pinterest. I didn't follow her decorations but I stole her idea. You can check out her recipe here

Here are the ingredients that I used.
Mini Nilla wafers, Pillsbury Yellow cake, creamy supreme frosting, cupcake wrappers, Betty Crocker Frosting Gel, food dye, Hershey kisses , eggs
I made the cake the way you would normally make a box cake.  And made 2 dozen cupcakes.

Next I made the acorn for the top. I made them by squirting a small drop of gel frosting on nilla wafer and stuck a Hershey kiss on top.
The Gel I Used

I took me about 30ish minutes to stick all 24 acorns together.
All the acorns
Sample of  one acorn.
In the original recipe had little tiny Hershey kisses on top of the acorn that made the stem. I didn't do that but wished I had because I thought it would be more obvious what they were.

I always changed but the recipe was by dying the frosting green so it would look like grass but I think it was a little to to bright. You'll have to let me know what you guys think.

Then I frosted the cupcakes and plopped the acorn right on the cupcakes. I did it so that they were laying down so it looked like they fell right off the tree.

All the cupcakes.
A close up cupcake.
And those are my acorn cupcakes! Do you guys like to see recipe that I make on the blog? Let me know, if you do I'll do a few more over winter break.

If My Pinterest Closet Came to Life

Hello All,

I hope you all have been enjoying Blogtember! I know I have! I know at the the beginning of the month I said that I would do a few days were I would do double post but I just haven't had time to really do that because I'm pre-writing so much of blogtember. But today I had time and decide I would do a quick post for you guys and don't worry when Blogtember is over I have some much planned that I just need to pust together so there is a lot to come.

Today I'm going to steal an idea from on of my favorite bloggers, Hayley, over at A Beautiful Exchange. Every once a while she'll show some of her favorite pins from Pinterest. And I love to see what and why people pin stuff, I'm personally obsessed with pinning for my future wedding to guy I haven't met yet.

Anyways today I want to show you some of my favorite fall outfits from pinterest since in my neck of the woods the seasons are change is in full swing.
