Merps in the City Part 2

Hello All,

I'm back with the second part of  the New York City  trip with my Merps. You can check out part one here. When we left off we started exploring the city and just walking around. We stopped at a one of the vendors and Hannah and both bought pictures. I bought a pictures of the night skyline to hang in my room at home because I'm obsessed with New York.

It was around 4 o'clock so we decided to head to dinner because we didn't want to get stuck in the dinner rush. While we walking we were approached by 3 men who were looking for donations for a program (none of us actually knew what they were talking about) but they were able to check a TON of money out of the three of us because they wouldn't take no for an answer. So, if you are in Time Square anytime in the next few weeks be aware of these guys because they will manage to corner you!

As we continued through Time Square I decided I need to pose with Teen Wolf Billboard because you know Dylan O'Brien.

Finally we were at the Hard Rock Cafe where we were planning on eating that night.

Mandi got pulled pork but it didn't look that impressive so I didn't take a picture. Neither Mandi nor I were impressed by our meals. I got mine with peppers and I think that got rid of a lot of the flavor. Hannah said her steak was really good!

After dinner we decided we wanted to go Rockefeller Center to take pictures with the tree. But first we stopped in front of the giant ornaments.

We popped into the Lego store so Hannah could look for something for her niece.

We then headed to the train station because we were exhausted and ready to head home. When we got there we checked in to find a train that would stop both at Mandi's stop and Hannah and mine's. They said we had to wait a half hour. Boo :( So, I ran to the bathroom and to get something to drink while Hannah ran to the Apple Store in Grand Central Station to get a charger. Then we sat on the floor and waited.

The train was packed going home but we eventually got to sit and slept as soon as I got home.

Going to New York City with my Merps was beyond fun. We plan to make this annual tradition and next year we want to see the 9/11 memorial and go to Broadway play (maybe Wicked so I can cross it off my bucket list).

New York City is my favorite city and I'm so grateful that I live a train ride away. Where is your favorite place to visit? Let me know in the comments below.

P.S. - If you are interested in seeing more pictures from NYC you check out Hannah's Instagram. She gave me permission to  share her page and would love for you check her pictures out. While you're add be sure to check my Instagram out. Sorry for the shameless plug. :)

Hello All,

I know that every month I do these and I talk about how much I love blogging every month and even after 8 months I still can't put into words how much I love this little site that I've created. Merps In the City

Hello All,

Before I start here is a warning...there will be A LOT of  pictures in this post!

A week ago today my merps (Hannah and Mandi) and I went to New York City! I woke up super early and Hannah picked me up. We drove about an hour to train station, grabbed our breakfast there and waited for the train.

We got on the train and headed to NYC! Our original plan was for Mandi to meet us on our train so that she could get on station closer to her house. But when we were on the train we discovered that we were on an express train that wasn't going to stop at Mandi's stop. So, instead Mandi had to get on a different train and meet us at Grand Central Station. We got there and I took some picture while we waited for Mandi to get there.

I love this picture, I'm not sure why.
Our first stop of the day was to get lunch. I personally didn't like where we went, I can't remember the name but I feel like layout of the restaurant was confusing and the food was nasty.

Our next stop was Toy R Us so that we could go on the Ferris Wheel.

My ticket :)

While on the Ferris Wheel we spotted an place, I believe it was called Sweet R Us that had ice cream and we decided we had to stop and get a sweet.

Cookie and Cream Shake! Yum!
We continued down the street to Forever 21 and the Disney Store. Hannah and Mandi both bought some stuff but I didn't.  I thought the Disney Store was really cute so of course I took some pictures.

"Its kind of fun to the impossible." Walt Disney

This was a little Gazebo in upstairs that was themed after Frozen.
Our next stop was the M&M Store and the Hershey Store. We didn't stay either place long because they were uber crowded. We decided that we just wanted to explore and see what else we could find.

This was a little Alcove we found that had a little water fountain and might be my favorite picture of the trip.

I was going to try to do this trip in one post but I think that if I keep going the post is going to be too long so I'm going to add another post in a few days with the rest of the trip. I hope you all had a great Christmas if that's what you celebrate.

Being Single

Hello All,

This is one of those post where I am going to be completely and 100% honest with you guys. Which may excited a lot of you. I know as a reader of blogs I love reading post that come from the heart but I also know how hard they can be.

I want to start out by saying that yes I am catholic but I'm not 100% sure that I believe in God but that I do believe that their is a greater power that has a control over our paths in life. I am only telling you this because I might use Fate and God interchangeably. I don't mean to do this disrespect anyone.

Over the past few days I have noticed a lot of bloggers have been writing post about being single lately. And I want to try my hand at it.

Many of you may either know or have predict that I am single! But here's the thing, I'm fine with it. Yes, like almost every other girl out there, there are days that I wish I had a boyfriend. I wish I had someone to cuddle with, someone to talk to, someone who I could text and basically someone to love. But I'm not going to force it with anyone.

I believe that there is a boy out there somewhere who will be the one. Someone who will find my merpyness adorable. Someone who will love me for me and not care what others think. Someone who will be proud to bring me home to meet their parents.

I would love to meet someone as well who loves no likes actually love is the right word. Loves the fact that I blog. I would love for him to see the benefits. Like our relationship will be document (well parts at least) forever.

By forcing a relationship with some random guy I pick up off the street and having him be the one is rare. I'd rather have a great love story then a boring one.

But until then I will just keep doing me. I will spend time with my friends. I will write in my blog, I will continue to nerd out over TV, I will read my bloggy friend's blog and work on the other relationships in my life.

Including the relationship with myself. I already do love myself. I like who I am, sometimes I have moments of of self consciousness, who doesn't but 90% of the time I am happy with myself.

So, I'll wait for the right guy to be brought into my life in a relationship form. I mean until then I can give all my love to my main guy, Dylan.

Source
So, that's all I really have to say on this topic for now. Because maybe I will meet the man of my dream tomorrow or maybe I'll meet him 7 years. Who knows, only God.

Pet Therapy Fall 2013

Hello All,

Finals are over and have been for about week. But before my blogging hitaus I didn't get a chance to share with you guys the only good thing about finals at my school....Pet Therapy!

Every year my school brings between 5-10 dogs who are certified as pet therapy dogs for the students to hang out with before finals start. This year Hannah and I went after my two hour math class...I deff needed some puppy love after class. LOL.

Of course I took some pictures, but unfortunately I don't remember most of their names anymore but their still good so enjoy the puppy adorableness.

Apparently these puppies were friends in real life but they didn't want to get to close for a picture.
My favorite dog Hunny <3

It was so much fun to get to play with puppies and relax before finals. After seeing the dogs I had to buckle down and get ready for finals. I hope all my college student readers out there had a finals season and are enjoying their break.

What is your favorite part about break? Let me know in the comments below.
