Cinderella {Movie Review}

Hello All,

I feel like its been forever since I've done a movie review! But this weekend Mama J and I went to see the live action remake of one of Disney's classic Cinderella!

This first time I saw the Disney Cinderella trailer I was excited because growing up she was one of my favorite princesses and I figured it was made my Disney so it'll be good. But my expectations weren't too high. But after hearing all the reviews from journalist, vloggers and bloggers my expectations rose, A LOT. And although I thought Cinderella was good, it didn't live up to expectations.

I loved how the movie began. Although I knew that parents both died at some point from watching the cartoon version I never knew anything about them. But while watching the movie I got to see more of parents and was really sweet to see their relationship with Cinderella Ella but at the same time it made it sadder when they eventually died.

Speaking of relationships it was really cool to see her relationship with Prince develop. I read an article a while back about a women who refused to bring her four year old daughter to see Cinderella because she didn't want her daughter to believe that she would just fall in love with the first guy she met. But I feel like this movie helped develop their relationship a little more then the cartoon. Although it is still moved super fast it did better developing the relationship.

The most amazing part of the movie thought was the costume. In particular Ella's dress was probably one of the most gorgeous things I have ever seen in my entire life. The scene wear the Fairy God Mother is transforming the dress and Ella is twirling around that was shot just amazingly. Also that is the feeling I want to feel when I wear my wedding dress one day.

 The acting was amazing and I LOVED the casting of every part! Although it didn't live up to my expectation after all the reviews I heard, I still loved it and reccomend you see it. Especially if you love the Disney princesses like I do.

Also the Frozen Fever short at the beginning was too cute! Helped my obsession with Frozen Flourish!

  1. Hi! Nice review! I too felt that by showing more of ella's parents, their death had more of an effect than it had when I had read the book. BTW, I too had done a Cinderella review, do take a look at it here: http://aspiringauth.blogspot.in/2015/04/movie-review-cinderella.html
