A Day in Boston ~ July 2014

Hello All,

For the last few days I have been giving you guys major updates on my trip to Boston. Although it was only a day and a half it was super fun! Thursday morning we took it pretty easy and slept somewhat late. Once all four of were ready to go we headed out onto the town.

The night before we passed what looked like a cute little diner called The Busy Bee Restaurant in  Brooklyn, Mass. It was a cute little place that was themed like the 1950s. I'm not a huge diner person so I was kind of like ehh about it but the rest of my traveling party LOVED it! They all said they'd recommend it and my friend, Amelia, who goes to school in Boston said she'd return again during the semester.

After that we decided to explore the city. We went down to Newbury Street to look around and stop in some shops. We stopped at each of the Second Time Around consignment shops and a cute little kitchen shop.

But my favorite place was the Lilly Pulitzer store! I had never been a huge Lilly fan mainly because I never really looked at her stuff. But Amelia loves her so of course we had to stop and look. As soon as we walked in there I was drawn towards a Lilly Planner. I am a self proclaim planner and am always looking for a design I like.

Well after looking around for a while Mama J surprised me and bough me my first Lily Pulitzer planner! I got the Tusk in the Sun design that had cute little elephants all over it. Although I have only been using it for a couple days I must say I'm in love with it. In a few weeks I'll probably do a review on it.

After the Lilly store we took the T back to our hotel and headed home. Over all it was a really fun couple of days.

My Lilly planner, I'm in love! (As posted on my Instagram)
As we passed Fenway
I was sitting outside a store and decided to take some pictures of my surrounds on Newbury Street. Such a cute little street!

Have a great guys!

Boston Red Sox Game ~ July 2014

Hello All,

Happy Wednesday! Last Wednesday I went to a Boston Red Sox game with Mama J, my oldest friend in the world, Amelia and Amelia's mom. Yesterday I talked about our pre-dinner at Max Brenner yesterday and I really can't rave about that place enough.

After dinner we headed to Fenway Park and went up to our seats in the Grand Stands. We were seated in a I believe left field and had some pretty awesome seats. I personally wish I had brought my regular glasses because we were far enough away that some things were somewhat blurry.

But the game was not the most exciting neither the Red Sox or Blue Jays were playing very well. But there were a few exciting moments but unfortunately the sox were not victorious but at least they had one run!

The young boy we were sitting in front was so adorable. He got so into the game and cheered the sox on and knew every player. Although he (and I) were both very disappointed that our favorite player, David Ortiz, wasn't playing.

The weather was perfect and the although it was disappointing the Sox didn't win I had a great time with some of my favorite people. I have been fortunate to go to about 4 games in my life. I can't wait to go to another one and one day hopefully bring future children.

Now enjoy some of the pictures I took while we were at the game because I'm a blogger we take picture everywhere we go!

Chocolate By The Bald Man

Hello All,

If you guys are hungry then this post is going to make it worst because its all about food!

Last week on Wednesday & Thursday I went to Boston for a night (more posts coming in the next few days) and on Wednesday night we went to an awesome restrurant, called Max Brenner.

His tag line is "Chocolate by the Bald Man," and they are famous because of their delicious chocolate! As soon as we walked into restaurants we were hit by the delicious smell of chocolate, I'm drooling just thinking about it. We were brought to our seats and we all took in the very cool decor. One of my favorite parts which I unfortunately didn't get to take a picture of was that they called the restaurant bar in "The Chocolate Bar".

For food the menu all looked delicious. It was mainly American foods, a lot of burgers and sandwiches. But they also had some pasta dishes and I think pizza. I got a Mac & Cheese meal because I believe if Mac and Cheese is on the adult menu then I must get it. It originally comes with bacon and roasted tomatoes in it but I got it with out the tomatoes. On the side it comes with tomato sauce and it was delicious to combine the two flavors.

The dessert menu was even more delicious looking. I wanted something on a lighter side and when I looked on the shake menu I knew exactly what I wanted. They had a hazelnut and chocolate shake. Basically it was nutella in shake form! I was hooked. And the second I tried it I fell in love!

Overall I would return to Max Brenner in a heart beat! I loved the food and atmosphere. My only disappointing aspect was that our waitress wasn't great but that's okay. If you want to find a Max Brenner near you or learn more about it you can by checking out his website here.

They had chocolate pipes throughout the resturuant which all read "100% Chocolate"

Beakers of chocolate chips
My plate!
Close up the mac &cheese
Shake, I'm drooling think about it
The tin the check comes in
The Welcome sign.
And that was my experience at Max Brenners. I highly recommend it!

Big Brother 16 Recap {Week 7}

Hello All,

I would like to send my thoughts and prayers out to Derrick's family after the lose of his grandfather. I am so sorry for you lost!

To start out with the HOH competition it was game where they listen to songs written about the competitions they have played this week. They then had to selected either HOH, POV or BOB. The final two would be the new HOHs. This week's first HOH was Frankie, after Derrick threw the competition to him so that Frankie could see pictures of his Grandfather. The second HOH was Zach.

The battle of the block was played by Christine and Nicole against Jocosta and Victoria. In this competition they had to build a wedding cake, then climb to the top and have both partners at the top for 5 seconds. Christine and Nicole being the besties they are had great communication where as Victoria and Jocosta had NO communication! Making Christine and Nicole the winners by a land slide.

The final competition was Power of Veto played by Jocosta, Victoria, Frankie, Christine, Hayden (Chosen through house guest choice by Victoria) and Donny. In this competition they had to rock by and forth on a rocking horse 60 times. They then had to stack as many gold blocks in 30 seconds and get back on the horse before the timer ended and start rocking again. If they fail they were out but they could take slop for a week in order to get back in the game. In this competition Jocosta did take the slop in order to stay in. But in the end Hayden took the Veto!

Frankie got to nominate his nominations first and went with weak players so that he could remain HOH so he chose Victoria and Jocosta. Zach had one goal in mind and that was to back door Amber. Because of that he put up a member of his alliance Christine, along with her bestie Nicole. After Battle of the Block Nicole and Christine were taken off the block and Zach was dethrone.

That left Victoria and Jocosta on the block. After POV Hayden took Victoria off the block and Frankie went along with Zach's plan and put up Amber as the replacement nomination.

Zach piss off his fellow detonators by nominating Christine but if he's likely they will forget it soon. Cody and Derrick also made a final 2 deal with each other outside the detonators.

Zankie still are going strong as the cutest bromance in the house and Zach continue to remind Frankie that he is straight but Frankie's not really buying it.

Hayden and Nicole are still being adorable but they weren't featured much this week. Except for Nicole's striptease to take off her germanitard.

Caleb and Amber started the week by not talking. But the house guest then started to stir trouble with the two saying that Caleb was Amber's target and causing Caleb to "approve" the backdoor plan.

The house once again voted together to evict...

Although Amber isn't the the person that would have been my target she was a strong player that did need to the leave the house. My player of the week this week was the player who actually backdoor Amber making my player of the week...
