Currently - July 2016

Hello All,

I know, I know I've been missing for awhile. But what else is new here? I could come up with a list of reasons why I haven't been here but I'm not going to bore you with those. I made a goal for this week (the week of July 11th) to blog for at least 10 minutes everyday so I can try and get some cool post up for you guys.

I figured since I have been "missing" on these parts for a while I would start this up with a currently post, so I can give you guys an update on all the haps in my life. So, let's get started!

Currently I've been...

...binging Friday Night Lights on Netflix
Source
For those of you who have never seen it, Friday Night Lights is about the town of Dillon, Texas, their football team and the lives of the people connected to the football team. Its a show a lot of people had recommended to me and I finally got around to watching it. I absolutely love it! I'm almost done with the series and I'm on the final season. And if we're being honest I will probably re-watch it as soon as I'm finished with it. My only problem with it is that it only takes place during Football season and because of that not every storyline gets wrapped up and leaves me with a few questions. The show in general has made me want to move down south and raise a bunch of boys who play football.

...watching The Bachelorette (ABC), Scream: The TV Show (MTV) and Big Brother (CBS).
Source
This wasn't a show that I watch religiously but over winter break I binge watched the most recently season of the Bachelor (ya know the one where Ben told 2 girls he loves them *Insert eye roll emoji here). At the end of the season when they announced that JoJo was going to be next Bachelorette I knew I had to watch it. Mainly because I love her and she seems so sweet. And yes, I know you can't judge someone by how a reality show portrays them but I love her anyways.
Source
I love the Scream movie series (the first one is my favorite) so when MTV announced that they were going to make a TV series based on it I was intrigued. The first season got me hooked and I was beyond excited for season two (which I have been enjoying). My favorite characters are Audrey and Noah (both of who are slightly suspicious). As of right now I have no idea who this season's killer is.
Source
If y'all have been around these parts for a while you probably know I LOVE Big Brother and watch it every season. In the past I have done weekly recaps on here but those are a lot of work and I just don't have the time to write them. Although I am brainstorming another way to share my love of a Big Brother on my corner of the internet but it might take some time before ones published. What I will say about this season is one of my favorite in a long time. I think this might have to do with the returning houseguests (Frank (BB14), Nicole (BB16), James and Da'Vonne (BB17)). I feel like when they bring back houseguests the game gets moving a little sooner because they already understand how to play. And for those who are wonder I am on #TeamNicole, #TeamCorey and surprisingly #TeamPaul (even if he was the jerk the first few episode). And my pre-season picks to win (before I knew about the returning Vets) this season are Paul for the guys and Michelle for the girls.

...reading After You by JoJo Moyes
Source
After You is the sequel to Me Before You. I'm only about 30 pages into and haven't gotten hooked the way I did to Me Before You. Although it takes time for me to get hooked to books sometimes so I'm still determined to finish it.

...planning a new vacation!

My mom and I are going on a vacation in January and I'm super excited about it. It's one that we have been planning since I started college since it was going to be my graduation celebration. I'm not ready announce it quiet yet (its still over 160 days out) but I wanted to drop a hint. So I found a picture (which was taken by me) and cropped it so it wouldn't give it away but you'd get a hint.

...getting excited about graduating and my future.
Throwback to my High School graduation circa June 2012
This is it folks, the light is at the end of the tunnel and graduation is coming up! I believe, I'm like 97% sure that I am graduating in December! The reason I say I'm 3% unsure it because things happen. If you guys remember I published this post over two years ago talking about changing my major. I went through a hard time when I realized that I didn't want to be a teacher (my original major) and had no clue what I was going to do. I think I may have found my correct path. I'm going to do a whole post about it, life update style, in the next couple of weeks.

...running 3 minutes straight!
Source
Recently I've decided to go back to the gym (at least in the summer I'm going 5 days a week!) and I've lost 4.5 pounds (as of July 11th). But the thing I'm most excited about is that I can run for 3 minutes straight. I've always wanted to run a 5K but I've never been a big runner. So when I returned to the gym about 3 weeks ago my main goal was to start running. I based my running plan on the couch to 5K (I post it down below). But changed it up a little to work for me. I've been going but by 15 second increments every few days rather then 1 minute increments. But I follow the how many minutes to walk when I hit the new minute. i.e. I'm currently running 3 minutes and walking 5 minutes on either side of the running. I also have a 5K goal but more on that when it gets closer.
Source
...playing Best Fiends on my phone
Source
While the rest of the world is chasing Pokemon I have been trying to kill slugs. I heard about this game through a lot of YouTubers and thought it sounded fun. It is a lot like candy crush where you're matching (what looks like fruit) and you built your team in order to kill slugs. I love it and I'm completely addicted. I recommend it for anyone who enjoy(s/ed) candy crush.

And that's what's been going on in my world. What has been going on your guy's world? Let me know in the comments down below!

Currently...{February 2016}

Hello All,

Raise your hand if you have been very neglectful towards your blog for the past few weeks.
Source
I can't apologize for it either because I have been focusing on getting into the swing of the new semester. But now that I have I wanted to do a life update. So, let's do that.

Currently I have been...

...listen to a lot of Kelsea Ballerini and my favorite songs have been Secondhand smokeDibs and Stilettos
Source
...loving having most of my Mondays and Wednesdays off.

...binge watching Prison Break on Netflix
Source
...been loving pretzels (especially chocolate cover or dipped in Nutella)
Source
....missing the snow because where I live we have gotten less then we usually do.
Source
...missing Instagram because I gave it up for lent.

...craving fried chicken.
Source
...making plans for the summer.
Source
...excited for the Fuller House premiere
Source
...reading every article I can find on the Gilmore Girls Revival
Source
And that's what's been going on with me currently. I'll try to get back to a somewhat regular blogging schedule but then again if you've been around these parts long enough you know that there's really no such thing as a blogging schedule.

When Life Gets Stressful

Hello All,

Recently my life has been crazy busy. You probably noticed because I'm rarely writing on here and even my social medias aren't updated as often as they used to be. (Find me by searching @judy_judy94 on any social media) Being busy has left me majorly stressed. There are some things that I found that really help when I'm stressed.

1. Venting
Source
Sometimes you just need to get things off your chest. Especially when it feels like everything is going wrong. And sometimes if your lucky and you have friends like my friend Mandi they'll send you little pep talk text messages to help get you through the day.

2. Binge Watching Some Netflix
Source
Sometimes you just need to disappear into a world of make believe. Or a world that has more drama then your own life and you don't have to personally deal with the aftermath. Plus when your binge watching you don't really have to think about all the poop hitting the fan which is a nice little vacation for your brain.

3. Call Your Mom
Source
Somehow no matter what the problem or situation is moms always have the answer. Even if you don't want to hear that advice. Plus moms are pre-programmed to love you even when you go on ranting about the same stupid thing for hours on end.

4. Work Out
Source
Okay I'll be honest I'm not following my own advice on this one but I know from the past  working out does help when your stressed and having a bad day.

5. Treat Yo Self
Source
Whether your buy yourself a new shirt or eat an extra cookie with your dinner every once in a while its good to treat yourself every once in awhile.

6. Sleep
Source
Sometimes your body needs to sleep and it needs to sleep good. Don't feel bad when your friends want to go out one night and you chose to sleep. Also don't feel bad if you crash out at 9 PM and sleep until 9 AM the next morning because sometimes that is well needed.

7. Make Yourself Feel Good
Source
I find the days that I get ready for school and make myself feel pretty that I have more productive and happier on those days. Some days this doesn't work but most days it does.

8. Find a mantra
Source
This particular mantra has been this recently. I wrote it down on index card and have it clipped in my planner. Everyday I read it and remind myself that sometimes your going to have a rough couple of days but then you fake it and you're eventually going to make it.

Whether your you need to chill on the couch get up and be active or just remind yourself that your worth it there are so many ways to de-stress yourself and take a mini life vacation.

How do you de-stress? Tell me about it in the comments below.

New Year Goals {September 2015}

Hello All,

Remember when I use to be so good at keeping up with series? Like when I used to write every three months about my yearly goals. Well I did but this year I totally just skipped over June. Ooops.
But I figured I'd come back and check-in with the goals now. Before I start you can check the reasoning behind why I chose these goals by clicking here.

Key:
Not Even Attempted
In Progress
Completed

1. Starting Eating Healthier and Exercising
From about January to April I did an amazing job with this goal. But then the stress of life got in the way and I completely gave up. Recently I have been feeling the want to get back into that routine but its hard. I need to figure out how I can fit that into my new schedule.

2. Either Plan or Cross 3 Things Off My Bucket List
The only thing I see getting crossed off my bucket list this year is possibly hitting 500 posts on this blog. Otherwise I am focusing super hard on doing really well in school and enjoying my senior year of college.

3. Finish 2 Blankets for my 180 Blankets for the 180 Day Project
Over the summer I worked really hard on a blanket. But I left at home. I knew that I wouldn't get anything done at school but hopefully I can get one done before New Years, especially over Thanksgiving and Christmas break.

4. Read 6 Books That Aren't for School
Over the summer I read 5 different books. I think that if I read a book over winter break I can easily cross this goal off my goals list. Actually in all honesty I actually brought a book to school with my this semester so maybe I'll make time to read for pleasure. If you're interested in reading my reviews you can by clicking on the book title: Six Months LaterGone Too FarMe and Earl and the Dying GirlP.S. I Still Love You and The Third Twin.

5. Blog Twice A Week
At the beginning of the year I was really good at planning out posts and keeping up with this blog. And as much as I have love blogging I know that I can't force myself to write because when I do the posts aren't as good and I'm not as happy with them.

6. Create a Budget and Stick to It
Right now I'm working keep track of how much I spent. Most months I'm pretty good and over the summer I noticed that I was saving about as much if not more than I was spending which is definitely a step in the right direction.

7. Stop Procrastinating
This semester I have been working really hard on staying ahead of work. I real so much better not having to stress the night before about homework and its actually given me more free time because I've been more organized.

8. Become a Neater Person
I have been trying really hard to not only stay organized but make sure that everything is in its place and stays in its place. One thing I've been trying to do is straighten up every Sunday for a more deep clean organization as well as small organization activities each day.

9. Go on 4 Blog Worthy Adventures
I am so excited that I crossed something off my list. I have hit 4 Blog Worthy adventures and I actually think there a few more coming up this year!  You can read about them clicking on the links. Going to Disney with my friendsTori coming and exploringhiking with my roommate and Going to Boston with Mama J (Part 1) and Part 2.

10. Work on my Novel More
I got a lot of work done on it over winter break 2014/2015 as well as some work over the summer.

Every time I write these post I don't go over my goals but look at them as I go. I'm not sure if that makes sense to anyone other than me. But anyways when I started writing this post I thought that I would see a lot of bold writing. But after finishing this post I am shocked by how far I have gotten this year. I am so proud of the person that I am becoming and these goals are helping me get there.

How are you guys doing on any 2015 goals you have? Let me know in the comments below.

My Blogging Confession

Hello All,

I'm about to get really honest with you guys about something that I didn't want to admit to anyone. Although some of you may have notice. Because for about 9 months I had lost the spark for blogging. I would go weeks at time without a posting anything. And when I did post there didn't feel like there was a rhythm, it felt like I was suffering from extreme writers block.

I felt ashamed or like I didn't love blogging anymore. But that wasn't it. I realized that I had strayed away from who I was when I first started blogging. Back when I was writing about what I had done and what made me happy. Yes I would schedule posts out because I would get burst of inspiration and write many post back to back. But I didn't have a set schedule. I didn't feel like I needed to get a post our every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.

I think that made me look at the blog as more of job.  I had started to compare myself to other bloggers. I wanted the same readerships or the loads of comments coming in. I felt disappointed in myself.

But recently the blogging blog has come back. But I've realized that I want to go back to who I was when I started blogging. I wrote about what I was doing, I was life style blogger when I started and that's who I still am.

I'm not 100% what that means. I don't know if that means that I'm going to cutting certain features from my blog. I don't want to say that I'm never going to write another post about my opinion a bigger issue. Or that I'm going to write about exactly what I did

There are certain features that I know what I want to keep. Like writing about my day to day activities like starting a new semester, planning and recaping my trips, goals and special events, like concert, day trips and traditions.

I see this blog in my future. I see it being here when I start to plan a wedding (to a man that I have yet to meet, but hi future hubby!) as well as sharing my future pregnancy (don't worry Mama J I'm not pregnant yet) and all about the amazing travels that I'm sure I'll be going on.

As of right now my blog won't be on an official schedule. Although sometimes there will be patterns don't be suprised when they break or come apart. Although the one thing I'm really going to try and keep up with is blogging 2 to 3 times a week.

I'm sorry if this post was all over the place, I just need to get that off my chest. And I want to thank anyone who does take the time out of there to read my blog. I honestly and truly do appreciate it.

Junior Year Goals Wrap Up

Hello All,

I'm not sure where the time has gone, somehow I have completed my junior year of college and only have two three well 2 more semester and one summer session left of college and then I graduate. I honestly can't wrap my mind around that. But since its the end of the semester its time to check-in with my goals. If you want to see the introduction post you can here and the check-in post from after fall semester here.

Key:

Completed

1. Go to the gym 2 times a week
Source
I did really well with this goal for the first many weeks but after spring break life got a little crazy and I fell out of my routine. But those weeks where I was doing well I felt great about myself! I plan to return to the gym this coming summer but one closer to home was well as return next fall.

2. Become More Organized
Source
I was so organized this fall but then I came back in the spring and just lost all my organizational progress. Although I never lost anything important and everything was done on time I still felt disorganized and stress for a good amount of the semester. I did get back on track at the end of the semester thought.

3. Get My GPA Up
I worked really hard this semester and I think I did really well in most of my classes. And the ones that maybe I didn't do as hot in, I do know that I tried my hardest in class and that's what really matters.

4. Talk to One New Person Each Week
I really like this goal but I totally forgot about it. Maybe I didn't talk to a new person every week but I did talk to a lot of new people. I made some friends that I will continue to talk to in the future and some that I probably never talk to again because we didn't exchange numbers and won't be in classes together again.

5. Try Out New Clubs
Okay I know that I should want to be involved on campus but there really isn't anything that interest me that much. Although I do have an idea of some stuff to do next year, I think I'm mainly going to focus on my school and preparing for the future.

6. Become more adventurous
I don't know if I became more adventurous. I didn't go on a lot of adventures because I was in school all day and worked all weekend.   But I made fun memories even if it was just sitting on the couch laughing with my roommate.

And that's how I did this year with my goals. Stay tune because summer goals are coming up soon as well as many other fun posts to come.

1 Year, 5 Years, 10 Years ~ 1 Year Check-In

Hello All,

We're you reading the blog about a year ago? If you were do you remember this post that I wrote. It was prediction for where I would be this year, and where I will be in 2019 and 2024. Since I'm still blogging I figured I would see how my prediction came out.

I wanted to....

-Have found my new place on campus
My new place isn't really in a club. Its making new friends in major and in life in general.

-Have raised my GPA to a 3.0
I'm still working on it.

-Have a stronger grasp on where I am going in life
I think I do. I have figured out my dream career and thought about all the things I want to do in my life. Like travel, places I might want to life and general life goals.
Source
-To see be writing for the school paper.
Not only that I am no longer a special to the paper but an actual writer for the paper.

-To have gone on vacation with my friends
I just returned!

-For my blog to be more successful.
As much as I still love blogging I don't have a lot time to promote it. Hopefully over the summer I want start doing some research and implement these techniques.

-To give more attention to my Youtube channel
I did just recently vlog my seven day trip to Disney which I'm working on editing and putting up on my channel. As well as I have some ideas for videos coming up in the future. As well as doing some research on good filming equipment.

-To have a work out routine that I love
I have started going to the gym more and I have really enjoyed going. I'm nowhere near my dream body but I still love who I am and the way I look.

So, some of my prediction came true. Others were goals that I worked really hard to complete. Others didn't really happen at all. No matter what though, I am really happy with where I am in my life.

As long as I'm still blogging in four years (all goals and plans point to I'll still be blogging) I will update on how my 2019 predictions came out. Hopefully pretty well.

22 Before 22 Check-In

Hello All,

Happy Monday! While you're reading this I am flying back from my spring break trip. I have tons of post coming your way about my trip, along with some VLOGs as well. Since yesterday was my 21st birthday I figured I would do a quick check up on my 22 before 22 list (See Original list here) since there is now 364 days left to complete these items. So let's get started.

Key:
Not Even Attempted or Planned for
Currently in Progess
Ccmpleted

Travel:
1.Spend a weekend in New York
Unfortnately right now I don't think I can see myself doing that before I turn 22 unless someone wants to give me an all expenses paid trip. But it still an item on my bucket list and I determined to get there someday.

2. Go on weekend road trip with friends
Event though this one is not planned yet I haven't really begun making summer plans so maybe that can be added in their somewhere.

3.Go on vacation with friends
Seeing as my vacation with Hannah and Mandi just finished I would say that is completed. In all honesty I'm writing this before I leave on my trip so if I can remember Sunday night and actually get on the internet from Disney I'll add a picture if not there is bound to many pictures to come. I've decided not edit any pictures or videos while on my trip. I'll them up soon.

4. Start looking into or actually go to Europe.
Okay no I don't have any plans to go to Europe but in my free time I have started to budget out what it would cost me to go on some trips and making some fake plans. The price is scary but I'm hoping it will be in the 2 or 2 and half years. Oh yeah I think Italy is where I'm going to go first.
Source

Career:
5. Hold an Internship
I have officially started to look into internships and seeing what is out there for internship. I have decided that I want to try and get one for Fall 2015 as well as hopefully one for summer 2015.

6. Start Researching and looking into job opportunities.
I am actually very proud to say that I'm pretty sure that I know that I want to work in social media . Either running a company's social media or working for a HR department by searching and look into people's social media. I'm not a 100% sure but I have some ideas and I have some options.

Source
7. Work on editing my novel and possibly completed it to my satisfaction
Guys I am so proud of myself  because I have worked so hard on my novel! I'm currently on chapter 14 our of like 16 or 17 chapters. But that is only the second draft so I know I still have some ways to go.

Education:
8. Get on the Dean's List at School
Okay guys I'm trying really hard but I'm not sure its going to ever happen.

9. Have a good idea of when I'm going to graduate
I'm very excited to say that I'm about 95% sure that I'm going to be graduating in December of 2016, only one semester late!

Source
10. Hold Another Leadership Position on Campus
This is another thing that I'm not sure if its going to happen. I'm having difficulty find clubs on campus that really peak my interest. But I will keep trying!

Finances:
14. Bring Mama Judy out on my own dime
After paying for my big trip I need to start working towards this goal again. But I feel like it something that I easily could get done in the next 12 months.

15. Set Up a Budget
That is my next big goal! I want to feel comfortable with my finances and not have to stress about money. But also having a good foundation on how to budget when I graduate and all my real bills come in.

16. Increase the money in my savings account.
Basically see above.

Health
17. Look into new yummy recipes to make
Since I don't have a kitchen on campus I don't have the means to make healthier recipe but I will come summer. Plus hopefully I can find some non-cook ones that I can use in the dorm rooms.

18. Start training for a 5K
I am so proud of myself because I have gotten into a really good habit with my gym habits.

The Future
19. Start Taking More Pictures.
I haven't had a lot of pictures to share but I'm starting to look into a nice DSLR camera as well as coming up with adventures worth taking pictures of.

20. Do Research on Where I Want to Live When I Grow Up
So I have been doing a lot of thinking about this lately and I think that when I graduate college I am going to apply all over the country and see where fate puts. Although I would be lying if I didn't say some of dream locations were LA, New York City, Boston or one of Carolinas.

21. Start Saving for a bulldog
I haven't really begun that yet but I probably should, pure breed are expensive dogs.
Source
And that's how I'm doing on my 22 before 22 list. Not as good as I want to be doing but I still have 364 days to do it.

Where Have I Been? {A Life Update}

Hello All,

I hope your February is going well. I can't believe I haven't posted all month! My life has been busy and not busy. Basically it has been snow day after snow day (I haven't had a Monday class since the first day of class) and because of the snow days we have been playing a lot of catch up in ALL of my classes.

I figured since its late I'm exhausted but really want to update my blog I would do a life update. So, let's begin...

Currently...

....I have been loving my Media Studies class.

....Been obsessed with Real World Skeletons.
Source
...Working on a new blog design, although it probably won't be published until my blogiversary.

...Been really good about going to the gym .

...suffering from major writer's block.

....Done with the snow, it can stop any time now.

...Been binge watching (while working out) Supernatural.
Source
...Been seriously thinking about and researching careers I may want some day.

...Listen to Amensia by 5SOS, Let Her Go by Passenger, Man Who Can't Be Moved by the Script and I Know Places by Taylor Swift on repeat ALL the time.

...craving buffalo Mac and Cheese

...Getting super excited for Spring Break!

And that is what is going on in my life right now. I'm going to try and get back on to the two day a week schedule but I can't make any promises. I have a wrap up post for my Disney trip and another travel announcement as well as other hopefully cool ideas.

First Few Days of Spring Semester 2015

Hello All,

This first week is over and I can tell this semester is going to be busy but I am ready and determined to have another great semester! As pre-usual I want to share how the first week went with all of you guys!

Monday:
Mondays are great!
Source
I know that probably sounds crazy, who likes Monday? But my Monday doesn't start until 11 AM! #SCORE but hold on, it gets better, its done by noon! #DoubleSCORE On Mondays I only have 1 fifty minute class. Although it definitely won't be my strongest class, its Bio, more specifically Zoology. The teacher seems nice and the class doesn't seem all that over whelming. After class I picked up my 10 books I need for the semester, grabbed lunch and headed back to my suite. Later in the day I got to see one of my best friends, Mandi and we also drove Natalie from Finding My Voice  home. I spent the rest of the day relaxing and hanging out.

Tuesday:
The day that never ends! Since I only have one class on Monday I have 4 on Tuesday and Thursdays. My first class starts at 9:35 and is a Media Studies class. I have a friend from my class last semester in this class, plus the class is really small, like 9 people. The teacher is really cool and seems like she'll be a great professor. After that class I have an hour and fifteen minute break where I got lunch and watched some Netflix. Since it was the first day I figured I wouldn't spend to much time in the student center and find my next class. Which was a creative writing poetry class. My friend from my creative writing class last year is in this class so Yay friend! This professor seems really cool, he's a former poetry editor and really seems to know what he's talking about. Next I headed over to my Communication 215 (Small Group Com) and this class will be interesting. For the whole semester we will be working in the same small group to do EVERYTHING  from quizzes to test to all the project. My final class that day is Communication 200 which is all about design. This one I'm a little bit nervous about because everything we do is on a Mac but I'm a PC person and don't know a lot about Macs. After all of my classes I went back to my room and started organizing for the semester and eventually got dinner with Megan.

Wednesday:
Much like Mondays, Wednesdays don't start until 11 o'clock. I went to my bio class and it was pretty uneventful, the teacher explained the first homework assignment and we went over some basic stuff. After class I went and got some lunch and ran to our school club fair to drop off something with a friend. Then I went to find my second class on Wednesday and got lost. I swear I've been at my school for two and half years and still get lost at times. But I finally found the room and realized that I was a lot early then I originally thought. My class was the lab period for my bio class. The teacher only went over the syllabus and let us go. Bio is making me a little nervous though because I was never all that good at science. After class I went back to my room and did all the readings I had for the next day.  Megan and I went to dinner and spend the rest of the night relaxing.

Thursday:
My Thursday schedule is identical to my Tuesday schedule. Expect on Thursday during my lunch break I hung out with my friend from English. My plan for the weeks come forward is to go to the gym after my classes on Tuesday and Thursday so that I can reach some of my goals

Luckily for the second semester in a row I only have classes on Monday through Thursday and I have Fridays off.

I went home for Martin Luther King weekend and spent some more time with Mama J. I can definitely tell that this going to be a hard semester but I think that with enough work, time management and determination I can do!

If you're in school how was your first week?

2014 New Years Goal Final Wrap Up!

Hello All,

Happy last day of 2014! Can you believe this year is over? I can't! I am so happy about how this year went, more on that tomorrow. What I'm really surprised at is that tomorrow we will be just as close to 2030 as we are to the year 2000. I wonder if I'll still be blogging in 15 years...

Anyways, with it being the last day of 2014 its time to check out how I did on my 2014 goals.

Key:
Didn't Even Attempt
In Progress/Somewhat done
Completed!

1. Start Exercising and Eating Healthier
Although this year I feel like I moved more and took the stairs more, I really don't fee like I worked hard enough on this goal to say that I really put any effort into this goal. Oh, well there's always 2015!

2. Either Cross Something or Start Planning to Cross Something Off My Bucket List
This year I was successfully able to cross 2 things off my Bucket List! I became a a published author and saw Wicked on Broadway. I am close to cross one more thing off my bucket list by having 97 more post published to hit 500 post here on the old blog!

3. Deal With the Aftermath of My Big Life Decision
I am completely comfortable with my change of major. I feel like it was the right decision and that I will be happy with my future. Although I still have no idea what I am going to do as a future career I'm ready to figure it out!

4. Finish 4 Blankets for my 180 blanket for 180 Day Project.
I'm working on one although I don't have a lot time to do them. Oh well we'll see next year, right!

5. Read 7 Books That Aren't for School
I have read 5 complete books (If I Stay & Where She WentTo All the Boys I've Loved BeforeThe Maze Runner and The Fault in Our Stars). I've started like 3 books that I'm currently reading. I know that I won't finish one for tomorrow so those will be all the books of the year.

6. Become More Organized
I found a way to organize that I like, I just need to stick to it and then I will like its complete.

And that's a wrap! I'm feeling proud of how I did on my goals. You can check the other check-in here (March)here (June)here (September)and here (December).

I hope you all have a fabulous New Years Eve and I'll see in you in 2015!

Junior Year Goals Check-in

Hello All,

Since this semester has completed its time to check in with how I've been doing with my junior year goals. But in all honesty, before I started writing this post, I hadn't looked at my goals since I wrote them. This semester completed distracted me and I didn't pay much attention to my goals. If you want to see the original goals you can read them here.

Key:
Not Even Attempted
In Progress
Completed!

1. Go to the gym 2 times a week
Source
I didn't even join the gym this semester, plus I'm not sure where I would have fit into my schedule. Next semester I think I know where I can add it in to my schedule and I'm feeling determined on this goal!

2. Become Organized!
I found a planner I love, I found a list writing system I love, unfornately I fell out of routine of it and spent the rest of semester trying to get back on track!

3.Get GPA
See above, although I won't be positive if my GPA went up because grades haven't come out yet. Even if my GPA went up I still have a little ways to go before I get the GPA I want.

4. Talk to One New Person Each Week
I made new friends and had at least 1 person that I talked to in each class so I guess I did pretty well that goal. Although I'm not sure its one new person each week.

5. Try Out New Clubs
I spent this semester focusing on my new major and working on getting my GPA and didn't join any new clubs. Next semester I'm going to look for a club or two.

6.Become More Adventurous
I think I did the opposite. When I wasn't doing school work I spent a lot of time dorm room hanging out with my roommates.

So, far this year even though I haven't really been paying attention to my goals I have made some head way in them. I'm excited to start the next semester in the next few weeks and continue to work on my goals.

Life Update: December 2014

Hello All,

Right now its Saturday night before the last 2 days of classes, the reading day and the first 2 finals. Yup that's what my week looks like for next week. I just spent the majority of the day in my schools student center watching a movie for my film class and writing the final paper for that class. It took me about sevens hours and now I'm exhausted.

So, that rant was a little out of left field. But I just wanted to check-in with all of you. I hate that its getting rarer and rarer that I get a post out each week and I miss writing so much. This semester has been kind of boring in the way that I haven't done a lot of blog worthy things. I have been bonding with my roommate and hanging out with my friends. I'd much rather write interesting and fun post of things that I want to remember in the future then write a half-assed post that one day I wouldn't want to look back on one day.

But with all that being said I wanted to talk about how this has been one of the best semester that I have had so far. It has been relaxing which is exactly what I needed after how much stress last year brought me.

Even with this being one of my best semesters yet I am beyond ready for winter break. I am ready for about four weeks without homework or classes. The bloggy is going to get a little more attention this break with a lot of post including some post Disney recaps, some end of the year recaps and New Year Goals! Plus I'm hoping to give the blog a new look and update my about me page, considering that my old About Me page still says my old major on it still. lol

And since this a life update I wanted to share with you guys things that I'm doing/loving...

Currently I'm....

...reading school books only because I don't have time to read for fun. Although sometimes when I'm lucky I get to binge read (can that be a thing?) some of my favorite blogs.

...watching Fox's Red Band Society, which is rumored to be cancelled. Plus lots of Christmas vlogs on YouTube.

...eating lots of goldfish, college food (bleh!) and Christmas cookies!

...listening to Taylor Swift's 1989 and the Godspell soundtrack (my school did the play and me and my roommate saw it multiple times and have since become obsessed with music)

...excited to go Disney with Mama J and break!

For all the college students out there good luck on finals! And I will see you guys on the other side!

New Years Resolution {December 2014}

Hello All,

Ummm...guys its December? How did this happen? Well that means I only have one more month to work on this year's new year's resolution, but with the light at the end of the tunnel let's see how I'm doing at this point in time.

The Key
Haven't Even Attempt
In Progress
Completed!

1. Start Exercising and Eating Heathly
I still haven't been going to the gym and most days I eat whatever I can get my hands on because I'm busy or the food at the dinning hall suck. BUT I have been taking the stairs everywhere I go except for when I carry my laundry basket from the first to third floor on Laundry day because I'm just not that good.

2. Either Cross Something Off My Bucket List or Start Planning Something (i.e. Trips)
Pretty much the same as September where I've crossed 2 things off but I don't see anything on my bucket list getting crossed off in the the next 31 days.

3. Starting Dealing With the Aftermath of changing my major
Well I think I've official answered the question "What are you going to do with your life?" or "Why'd you change your major?" about 10 billijillion times and I still don't know the answers. But I promise I will let everyone when I know. Deal? Deal!

4. Finish 4 Blankets for my 180 Blankets for 180 Days
I've worked on the blanket a little when I'm home but haven't really finished one.

5. Read 7 Books That Aren't For School
I have NO time to read when I'm at school so yeah, there's that!

6. Become More Organized
I found a way of organizing for school that I loved but one weekend my life went out of control and I got derailed a little but I think I'm back on track soon.

And that's how i"m doing as of now. 6 out of 6 are in progress and I am so proud of myself.

Currently I Am....Plus Some Pretty Pictures

Hello All,

Since I've been kind of MIA on the bloggy recently I figured I'd do one of those kind of popular among blogger post where we share what's currently going on in our lives. So, let's begin.

Currently I am...

...working really hard in school

...spending a lot of quality time with my roommate Megan and Grace

...planning two super awesome and exciting trips to Disney (More details to come soon)

...getting excited to see Wicked again

...constantly tweeting (if you want update updates on me you follow me here)

...missing having the time to blog a lot

...having a much better year then last year

...craving buffalo wings

...thinking I want to work in social media when I grow up

...obsessed with the apps snapchat, timehop and yik yak

...I'm getting more excited for the Christmas season (I've never really been a Halloween person)

...getting a burst of inspriation for blog post, hopefully I can get some great post up soon

...thinking more about my future career and getting an internship

...really happy with where I am in life and super excited to see what else happens this school year!

On another note, I went home this past weekend and spent some quality time with Mama J. On Sunday we went with one of her friends to look at a location for a crafting retreat they are hosting. It was right by the beach and absolutely beautiful. I took some pictures and I wanted to share them with you guys!
