Life Update Picture Edition

Hello All,

Long time no talk! I feel like I never have time blog...at least not as much time as want to. Anyways I recently was transferring a lot pictures from my phone to my computer and I figured I'd do a quick life update using those pictures. I hope you guys like it!

New Hair
In the end of February I decided to change my hair. I got about 4 or 5 inches off my hair and dyed it a dark red. Its taken a little while but I may have finally gotten used to it. Also I got a lot of compliments on it.

My 22nd Birthday
Over my spring break I turned 22 years old! I spent the day getting my nails done and shopping with my mom. I got a lot of amazing birthday wishes and I'm so grateful for everyone who took the time out of their day to wish me a happy birthday.

Bird in the Building
The Wednesday we came back from Spring Break it started out with the school not having power which cancelled all classes before 5 PM! It was such a cool day off because it was like a snow day but it was nice out. People had their windows open and two birds flew into our building! Our hall director, a few of the RAs and some other staff members tried to catch them. They spent a lot of time flying around but eventually they flew out! It was a pretty exciting!

Diana's 21st Birthday

LtoR: Megan, Diana and me
A few weeks ago my roommate, Diana turned 21 years old! Diana, myself and Megan who are all 21  went out to celebrate her birthday. We had a lot of fun and enjoyed ourself.

And that's pretty much everything that's been going on in my life. Sorry that I've been kind of MIA lately but school comes first! But the good news is there is post coming up on Wednesday too!

Also if you want more consistent updates you can follow me on Instagram, Twitter and SnapChat which I update some what frequently, my username for all 3 our @judy_judy94.

Homecoming 2015

Hello All,

In October my college had its homecoming weekend. Homecoming at my school is a big deal but its not as big as it at other schools. But its still a lot of fun to go to and the traditions are pretty cool too. And since I did it of course I need to blog about it.

Homecoming was on Saturday, which meant that I had to work from midnight to 4 AM the day of homecoming. Luckily this year it was a night game which means I got to sleep until a pretty decent time of about 11:30. When I got up I did my make up and got ready for the game.

The first tradition my school as is the annual homecoming parade where the different halls, clubs and organization create skits to share on homecoming day.  On most of the posters around campus said that the parade was starting at 1:30 but they changed it to 2 meaning we were super early. My roommate Sonja knows some of the girls on the soccer team and we went and watched a little of it.

Sonja ended up watching the rest of the game while Megan and I went to watch the parade. I always love going to parade one because the different groups are super creative but also because one of my good friends, Mandi's (you may recognize her from my Disney 2015 Spring Break Trip) sorority always does a skit and I love to see what they come up with. All the clubs and organization did a great job and to be honest it is always one of my favorite parts of the parade.

After the parade we went to lunch at our dinning hall and then hung out at our room for a little while. But soon it was time for the game. It was a night game and the first one I had ever gone to (at night at least). It was a lot of fun but I only made it to about half time because I got too cold. Unfortunately our team lost but they did a really good job in the part that I saw.

And that was my senior year homecoming!

Pumpkin Picking 2015

Hello All,

How is it already November? Actually I can totally believe it because October completely dragged by. I kept thinking it was November and nope it was still October. I think it was how much work I had to get done in the month. Although I don't see it slowing down anytime soon. Also I just realized that this means that I'm almost done with what will most likely be the final fall semester of my undergraduate career. Say what? But that is not what I'm here to talk about.

Earlier in October my roommates and I did some roomie bonding and I realized that I never wrote about it. Okay I didn't realize it. I've had 3 post on my to-do list to write and I'm finally getting around to writing 1 of them. Hopefully the other two will be written in the next century month. But our little bonding trip brought us Pumpkin Picking!

We went on a Sunday which meant that I had to work my normal Sunday shift of 8 AM to Noon while they got to sleep in. While I was working I had multiple people come up to me and tell me it was snowing!
Source
At first I was like "Oh no, I'm not going pumpkin picking in the snow." But by the time I got off it had stopped snowing and we decided to go anyways.

We went to Bishops Orchard which is about 20 minutes away from where we go to school. We went right over to the pumpkin patch and started looking at what pumpkins we wanted. At first I pictured getting just one big pumpkin but I ended up changing my mind and getting one small pumpkin and 3 mini pumpkins. I figured since I wasn't going to be craving it I didn't need a super large one. I believe that my roommates, Megan and Sonja, both made similar purchases.

After we paid for our pumpkins I got in line to buy some fried dough. I was starving but the line took forever. The Fried Dough was good but it wasn't overly memorable. While I was getting fried dough Megan and Sonja were exploring the store they have there. The have a lot of yummy looking prepared food. I actually got a cookie and cream cupcake and it was delicious. I wish they sold it in a six pack instead of just individually.

After the pumpkin patch we did a quick Target run as well as a Michael's run. When we got back to our dorm we spent the majority of the rest of the evening watching Criminal Minds and painting pumpkins. Although I didn't decorate for long because I had to go to bed early because of an early work shift the next morning.

Letting Snapchat know I'm vlogging

I was bored and took another selfie because I liked the lighting.
Over all it was a really fun day. I wish I had gotten more pictures and footage for the vlog but I was living in the moment and that's the more important part right? If you are interested you can check out my vlog by clicking here.

Move in Day 2015

Hello All,

Somehow Senior year is already here and I've already moved in. Much like my Sophomore Year I moved in early. Meaning I still have about week to go before starting classes. But I have moved in and I figured I'd share because this blog deserves so major TLC.

I'll be honest with you guys I was as excited about move in day this year as I have been in the past. Normally I'm itching to get back to campus but this year I was dreading the unpack and the move things in and just wasn't jumping off the walls. Since move-in I'm happy to be back and the feelings of dread have disappeared (I'm pretty sure its just denial that somehow I'm a senior).

I planned to wake up around 8:30 but woke up at 7:30 and couldn't fall back asleep. I played on my phone for a while but eventually got up. I collected last minute things and packed them up. I wanted to clean out the front seat of my car so I ran down to my dumpster and started to clean. When I was pulling back up to my drive way the people who were painting my condo were there. Luckily they were super nice and let me pull into my driveway for like 5 minutes while I loaded in my suitcase and stuff.

After I left my house I stopped by Stop and Shop to buy some snacks. While I was walking around I had eureka moment and realized that I needed to buy toliet paper! Luckily I remembered and grabed while I was at Stop and Shop.

Then I official hit the road. I made a quick pit stop at Starbucks.  They were out of my favorite drink so I got my back up drink and it wasn't all that good.

When I got to school I checked in and unpacked. And unpacking was a lot easier then I was expecting and my room is about 95% complete...they only thing left to do is hang things up which I'm having difficulty with this year for some reason.

Because I moved in early none of my roommates here yet but I can't wait until they move in because it does get kind of lonely.

I also vlogged this experience if you click here you can watch it. Its not my best work but its not horrible either.

I would love to talk to anyone who reads this post. So, in the comments tell me what your dream college dorm room color scheme would be as well as theme.

Hiking with West Rock {May 2015}

Hello All,

This post is probably long over due consider its the last full week in May and this event took place on the 4th day of May. But we're going to talk about it now because better late then never.

The week of finals neither Megan (my roommate) nor I had any finals so we decided to climb up West Rock, a hiking trail/mountain near our school. Neither of us had ever done it before so when we were driving to the place where you start the hike we got a little lost and ended up driving up the mountain. Because of that we decided that we would walk down a little bit. We took our time and eventually found a place to sit and just take in the view.

Although it was a short trip it was a lot of fun and great way to relax before the stress of finals. We were only out for about 2 hours and it was such a beautiful day.

Tori Came to Visit {April 2015}

Hello All,

Wow the last few week have been super busy and they are just going to continue to be busy. I probably should do a life update in the next weeks to catch you guys up. A few weekend ago Tori came to visit me at school again! Do you guys remember when she came last year? No well you can read about that visit here. But this time Tori came for 2 nights instead of 1!

Friday:
During the day Megan (my roommate) and I had a school event we had to attend and then we watched Ask Me Anything which was really weird and left us with our minds blown but not in a good way. Then we meet Tori half way between mine and Tori's hometown and school. We met her at a Five Guys and had some dinner then. After dinner we went back to school and watch The First Time which is one of our favorite movies.

Saturday:
We got up some what early and got ready to head out. Our first stop was the grocery store to pick up some props. Then we head to the state park Sliver Sands State Park in Milford, CT and did a mini photo shoot for my blog's 2nd anniversary. While we were there we took some other pictures as well.

All the way in the background is Tori and the closer up is Megan

Take 1
Take 2
The cute one
The even cuter one
After beach we went to visit our friend Emili at her work and then headed over to the mall. Our first stop was Buffalo Wild Wings because we were starving! And then we explored the mall and the different stores. I bought two pairs of shoes and new necklace.

After the mall we came back to school and watch a movie and had dinner at the dinning hall. For dessert we order Insomina cookies and played heads up and Foosball. And just had a blast being silly. It was so much fun and I was beyond tired by the end of the night.

Sunday:
On Sunday Megan got to sleep in while I drove Tori back to our meeting spot and met Mama J to see Cinderella (Read the review). I also did a little bit of window shopping with Mama J and then went back to school and hung out with Megan again.

It was such fun weekend and I can't wait to see Tori more over the summer when we're both home from school as well as go on some pretty fun adventures with Megan!

Homecoming Weekend 2014

Hello All,

I want to apologize for being MIA for the past forever here on the bloggy. But I'm working super hard on school and I think its actually paying off! I have some excited things coming up as well as some exciting ideas for the blog so please bear with me and stay tuned.

Before I start this post I actually have to apologize again because I'm writing about Homecoming weekend and I didn't take any pictures. I totally regret because I won't have any photographic proof of this homecoming when I look back on it in the future.

Source
Friday:
I started by Friday by working at my job until about 3 PM. When I got back I did some work and hung out with my roommate Megan who stayed the weekend for homecoming. That night we went to see our school's production of Godspell, which was super fantastic! The whole cast did an amazing! In all honesty I had already seen but I had to see it again.

Saturday:
Megan and I got up some what early and went to the Dunkin Donuts on campus with the idea of getting Hot Chocolate because that just seemed like a fall, homecoming esque type thing to do. But by the time we got across campus we were too hot so I just got a muffin and a water bottle. We then walked over to the just outside the stadium for our schools homecoming parade where different clubs and organizations do skits to go along with the Homecoming theme. All the couples and organization did awesome and we're super entertaining.

It ended up getting cold fast so Megan and I decided since we know nothing about football to just go back to our suite. We ordered take out and watched movies which included, Harry Potter and Christmas movie! It ended up being exactly what Megan and I needed.

Every year on the Saturday of Homecoming our school brings in a comdian for comedy show. This year they brought in Nicole Byer from Girl Code. My roommate Megan and Grace and I decided to go see her. It was pretty cool to get to see someone I watch on TV in really life.

Source
Sunday:
I started this day by having the oppurtunity to sleep in but waking up and not being able to fall asleep so I just kind of listened to music and laid in bed. Megan and I decided once again to go see the school play, so if you're keeping count that is a grand total of 3 times I went to see the show. It was just that good. It was also our schools open house so we talked to some people in the lobby who were looking at our school. The show was just as good the 3rd time around!

Soon it was time to go back to the reality of school and we spent the rest of our night doing homework. It was pretty relaxed and I really enjoyed this weekend.

The First Few Days

Hello All,

Happy Friday! I have Wifi! Its all the end of my first 7 days of school. The first week went pretty well and now I'm going to tell you about it!

Thursday:
My first day of school was on Thursday and was a good day. It started somewhat early because my first class started at 9:35 AM. My first class was actually School Heath 203 and it just one of the general school requirements. Everything I heard was that it would be any easy A class and it doesn't seem really hard. The teacher seems nice and that's good. My second class was Media Studies 245 which is one of my major classes! I feel like this teacher is going to be one of my favorites this semester. She's super nice and sweet. A lot of kids from my last semester MDS class were in and well as my bestie Mandi. After class I went to lunch with Mandi and then hung out in my dorm until I had to go to work.

Friday/Saturday/Sunday/Monday
I don't have classes on Friday! And Monday was Labor Day so I had a 4 day weekend! For the whole weekend I worked which was good because my hours get cut for the semester. I also went out to dinner with Mama J and we got some last minute things for the suite. Thanks Mama J.

Tuesday:
The classes were a repeat of Thursdays. After class I went to Mandi and Hannah's apartment for a while and then Mandi and I went shopping. And I spend the evening hanging out with 2 of my roomies.

Wednesday:
Started WAY too early because I had a 8:10 class. Normally this class will be 2 and half hours because it is a studio art class and they give a lot of time to work on our project. The teacher seems so nice and I'm kind of excited to see if I have any potential of being good at art. Most days I have like 5 hour break but hopefully I'll find a club that meets during that time. At 3:25 I have my creative writing class which is going to kill me with the amount of work (part of the reason I decided not to have a blogging schedule anymore) but hopefully it'll make my writing better.

The only school day that I didn't include is Monday. I have Art and and English on Monday just like Wednesday but I also have 2 and half hour film studies class that starts today! I haven't had it yet but I'm kind of excited because I LOVE movies and the class is suppose to be pretty good.

And that is the first few days of my new semester. I'm excited, feeling positive and ready to go! To all you starting a new semester I hope you have a good one!

Move-In Day 2014 & New Hair {VLOG}

Hello All,

Please forgive me for the lack of pictures in this post, move-in day got completely away from me.

But first I wanted to share with you guys the fact that the day before I moved into school I dyed my hair for the first time. Although in some light you can't completely tell its redder but I love it!

Okay, so I woke up at like 7:45 the day of move-in which was last Wednesday. I loaded up my last couple of loads into the car and took a selfie!

I had a couple of errands to run before I moved in and they went relatively smoothly. After that I picked up Natalie who graciously offered to help me move in. Thanks again girly! And event though we don't have any pictures together I swear we know each other in real life.

We got everything up to my room in only a couple of trips and we did a couple of quick errands around campus and then we organized all my stuff and bonded with my new roomies. I'm living with my old neighbors for last year, Grace and Megan as well as a new roommate who we just meet Morgan. Everyone seems to be doing well!

After I dropped Natalie off I went out to dinner with Hannah and Mandi and again I didn't take any pictures. Ooops.

So, that was move in day. I'm sorry if this was a really boring post! But you can watch a VLOG of the two days I talked about in this post because I vlogged some of it and I actually really like this VLOG.

Dan, Shay, Danielle and Hunter!

Hello All,

Over a month ago I went to a concert with Hannah and I'm just now getting to writing about, but I hope the post was worth the wait.

The concert was Hunter Hayes (cue the drooling) with Dan+Shay and Danielle Bradbury as openers. And the concert was so much fun. Before I start telling you about concert itself, let me tell you about how we found out about the concert. One day, I was scrolling through my facebook page, when I saw a status about the concert and told Hannah. We agreed that we HAD to see it.

The first performers were Dan+Shay. If you have been around these parts for a long time you may remember that Hannah and I first saw Dan+Shay when we saw Hunter Hayes at the Big E and fell in love with them.

They went on stage right on time and Hannah and I missed the first song because we were waiting in line for Merch. But the parts that we did see were ah-mazing! They had a great stage presences, the songs were good and they really vibed off the audience.

A little while later, Danielle Bradbury came on. I didn't really know much about her. I mean I knew she won the voice and that she was young. I also knew her first single, Heart of Dixie which I really liked.

She was okay, she had a good stage presence and has a bright future as a performer but I personally didn't like her. I might listen to her songs from time to time but I don't know if I'll ever go to a concert where she's the headliner but I won't avoid a concert she's part of. Hannah on the other hand loved her and thought she was great.
She rarely looked toward our side of the stadium so I don't have any pictures of her
And then Hunter Hayes came on. I don't know enough positive adjectives to describe his performance. For one he was on stage for a whole 2 hours. No costume changes (not that guys really do that lol). He dances and sings and always seems to have a great time while on stage!

The most amazing part of watching him perform was to see just how much he loves his fans. He thanked us so many times for being there and asked to have him back many, many more times. In my opinion, yes Hunter you can come back as many times as you want, because you are just that amazing.

He's in the right corner
The stage in the audience that he sang on

Singing with Danielle
Singing Wanted! I'm in love
Here are some tweets from that night.

I bought their CD and listened to for like a week straight. Right now I'm on Hunter's new CD Kick right now
Still #Dying
Sorry for the typo lol
And that was the Hunter Hayes concert!
